Joshua and Julia Defy Fate and Time in ‘Always Yours, Never Mine’

A Walk Through the Seasons of Apollo and Luna’s Romance

Can love find a way through the shifting tides of time and identity? That is the question at the heart of Always Yours, Never Mine, starring Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto. Premiering in local theaters on Wednesday, September 30, this epic romance explores a connection that stretches across years and morphs through unexpected versions of who they are. 

Directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, the latest Star Cinema film features Joshua and Julia stepping into the roles of Apollo and Luna. 

Written by Vanessa R. Valdez, the romantic drama spans three decades, examining how love, time, and fate test Apollo and Luna as their lives change over 30 years.

“Yung kwento po kasi ng ‘Always Yours, Never Mine” it spans 30 years, that’s why you’ll see the characters of Apollo and Luna in different stages and seasons of their lives. Ang magandang matatanong mo sa sarili mo kapag pinanood mo ang pelikulang ito: ‘Sa pagmamahal ko ba sa isang tao, napigilan ko siya na maging kung sino siya talaga dapat  maging?,” shared Vanessa.  

“I don’t think this is just a love story; it’s actually a life story. It’s about how we love our lives, the choices we make, and even the choices we don’t make,” she added.  

“Always Yours, Never Mine” also stars Bianca Umali, Chandra Romero, Joy Barcoma, Bob Jbeili, Karen Reyes, Migs Almendras, Paulo Angeles, and Joy Barcoma. 

Completing the cast are Ina Raymundo, Franco Laurel, Reign Parani, and Jan Silverio. 

International audiences can catch the film starting October 22 in the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Australia, and New Zealand. Screenings will expand to the US, Canada, and Guam on October 23, followed by the UK and Austria on October 31, before making its debut in Spain, France, and Italy on November 1.

European fans are in for a special treat as the film holds its European premiere at Genesis Cinema London on October 31. The event will feature an exclusive meet-and-greet session with Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto during the 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM screenings. 

The excitement continues in Madrid, where another exclusive premiere and fan meet-and-greet is set for November 1 at the Palacio de la Prensa Cinema. The movie will screen at 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM, giving Spanish fans two opportunities to see the stars in person.
