Following weeks of heavy rainfall that triggered flooding in parts of Central Luzon, global mobility platform inDrive mobilized its employees to distribute relief packs to families affected by flooding in Meycauayan, Bulacan.

In partnership with the nonprofit organization Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST), inDrive provided a total of USD 20,000 worth of assistance to 1,200 flood-affected families in Barangays Zamora and Perez. In Barangay Zamora alone, 895 families were affected by the recent flooding, while floodwaters reached waist level in some areas of Barangay Perez.
During the outreach, inDrive volunteers distributed emergency aid bags to residents of both barangays. Each bag contained 4 kilograms of rice, six packs of instant noodles, four canned goods, one pack of instant coffee sachets, and one pack of powdered milk sachets. These essential food supplies were intended to provide immediate relief as families recover from the flooding and prepare for the possibility of further heavy rainfall during the habagat season.
“Many of our employees and partner drivers live and work in communities that also experience heavy rains and flooding, so we understand how disruptive these events can be,” said Sofia Guinto, Country Manager of inDrive Philippines. “By working with ASSIST and local officials, we hope to provide families in Meycauayan with practical support as they recover. We also hope to encourage more members of the inDrive community to take part in future outreach efforts.”

The initiative is part of inDrive Cares, the company’s community engagement program, and follows its flood-relief activity in Barangay Masambong, Quezon City, in August 2026. Conducted in partnership with ASSIST, the earlier initiative provided assistance to more than 250 families affected by flooding.
Beyond relief distribution, inDrive employees and partner drivers have also taken part in a cleanup drive at Caingin Estero, along the Valenzuela–Meycauayan boundary. The activity focused on removing waste that could obstruct water flow and contribute to flooding in surrounding communities.
Through inDrive Cares, the company continues to collaborate with nonprofit organizations, local communities, and platform members to address immediate needs while supporting longer-term community recovery. From delivering essential supplies to flood-affected families to helping keep waterways clear, these initiatives underscore inDrive’s commitment to supporting the communities where its employees, partner drivers, and passengers live and work.
