EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) Philippines is celebrating its 11th anniversary this September, marking more than a decade of growth and innovation. With a workforce of over 6,000 professionals across Manila and Cebu, the organization plans to add approximately 2,000 more employees over the next two to three years.

Since its establishment in 2015, EY GDS Philippines has developed into a strategic delivery and talent hub for the global EY organization. Its teams support EY member firms and clients worldwide across assurance, consulting, tax, and core business services.

Over the past 11 years, EY GDS Philippines has continued to expand its scale and strengthen its innovation capabilities. Looking ahead, the organization expects growing demand for assurance and technology consulting services, alongside further expansion in artificial intelligence (AI), data, cybersecurity, digital engineering, enterprise platforms, and other technology-focused capabilities.

“EY GDS Philippines has evolved into a leading talent, delivery and innovation hub since its establishment 11 years ago. Our strategic expansion, the launch of the Cebu Cybersecurity center and continued development of new capabilities reflect how far we have come,” said Dench Decino, EY GDS Philippines Location Leader. “In the next two to three years, we will continue to invest in Filipino talent as we plan to add approximately 2,000 professionals. We believe the Philippines will continue to play an important role in the EY network and in the country’s professional services and technology ecosystem,” he added.

Cebu has emerged as a key contributor to this growth. The center continues to expand its role in technology-led services, supported by the launch of the EY GDS Cebu Cybersecurity center, which strengthens the organization’s cybersecurity and digital capabilities while creating high-value technology career opportunities in the region. This expansion is complemented by a continued focus on developing the talent needed to sustain its growth.

Through its GDS Academia program, EY GDS Philippines is also strengthening its partnerships with universities nationwide, including institutions in Metro Manila and Cebu. These collaborations bridge classroom learning and real-world business and technology skills, helping prepare students for future careers and creating opportunities for experienced professionals.

The organization’s commitment to industry-academe collaboration was recognized at the 2026 Cebu IT-BPM Organization (CIBO) Industry Awards, where EY GDS Philippines received the Industry-Academe Partnership Excellence award. Beyond academic partnerships, the organization continues to invest in professional development, learning, leadership formation, inclusiveness, and future-ready skills for its workforce.

Developing future-ready talent is particularly important in Assurance, one of the service lines expected to contribute significantly to the organization’s next phase of hiring. Karthik Bhaskaran, EY GDS Philippines Assurance Leader, said: “The growth of Assurance is increasingly tied to how we prepare professionals for a more digital and data-driven profession. As we accelerate hiring, we are focused on the capabilities the next generation of assurance professionals will need, including data, analytics and AI-enabled skills. University collaborations, industry partnerships and continuous learning are critical to building that pipeline and strengthening the broader talent ecosystem while supporting evolving client needs.”

Together, these investments in people, capabilities, and locations are shaping the future direction of EY GDS Philippines. As the organization continues to grow, it expects to create more career opportunities for Filipino professionals while meeting the evolving needs of the global EY network and contributing to the country’s professional services and technology ecosystem.
