Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI), the country’s No. 1 motorcycle manufacturer and power products company, has once again strengthened its commitment to nation-building through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Guided by its advocacy for Clean & Green Surroundings, Quality Education, Improved Community Life, and Road Safety, HPI has donated a total of 140 units of 6.5KVA Generator Sets to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC).
The first 70 units were turned over last September 17, 2024, and HPI has now completed its pledge with the handover of the remaining 70 units, fulfilling its mission to support PRC’s life-saving programs, especially in times of calamities and disasters.
Strengthening Disaster Response
The donation ensures that PRC chapters nationwide are better equipped during emergencies. These generator sets will:
- Power essential medical equipment during outages 🏥
- Ensure uninterrupted communication lines to coordinate relief operations 📡
- Support continuous disaster response efforts during typhoons, earthquakes, and the ongoing La Niña situation 🌧️
HPI and PRC share a long-standing partnership in helping Filipino communities, especially evident during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and Super Typhoon Odette in 2021.

The ceremonial turnover was graced by HPI officers led by President Takeshi Kobayashi and Asst. Vice President for Business Administration Mr. Gerry Datario, along with other Honda representatives. The PRC was represented by its Chairman Sen. Richard Gordon, Secretary General Ms. Gwendolyn Pang, and other officials.
