The film opens in Philippine cinemas on October 29, 2025.
Starring Lee Byung-hun (Squid Game) and Son Ye-jin (Crash Landing On You), No Other Choice has already earned a 100% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, hailed as one of Park’s most gripping dramas to date. The film delves into a desperate struggle for survival that resonates universally.
The story follows Man-su (Lee Byung-hun), a seasoned paper manufacturing specialist who has spent 25 years perfecting his craft. Content with his life, his days revolve around his loving wife, Miri (Son Ye-jin), their two children, and two dogs. But his world shatters when he is suddenly laid off.
Determined to provide for his family, Man-su vows to find a new job within three months. Over a year of failed interviews and odd jobs pushes him to the brink, threatening the home he fought so hard to secure. In a final desperate attempt, he turns to Moon Paper, only to face humiliation by line manager Sun-chul (Park Hee-soon). Convinced of his own worth, Man-su resolves:
