The stage is set for Araneta City’s grand Pride Month celebration on June 28

Araneta City proudly waves the rainbow flag this Pride Month with its vibrant theme, “Love in Every Hue”—a powerful celebration of self-expression, authenticity, and unity. As the City of Firsts, Araneta City reaffirms its role as a safe, inclusive haven where everyone is welcome, seen, and loved.

“We are celebrating the freedom to be who we are, to love whom we choose, and to stand tall in our truth,” shared Marjorie Go, Araneta City Vice President for Marketing. “Here at the City of Firsts, every identity is embraced, and every story matters.”

🎉 Pride Highlights: Love Laban sa Araneta

The month-long celebration culminates on June 28 with “Love Laban sa Araneta”—a day-long extravaganza at Gateway Mall 1, co-presented with Pride PH. As part of the wider Quezon City Pride festivities, this event runs alongside the Love Laban celebration at UP Diliman, creating a twin celebration for LGBTQIA+ communities and allies across the metro.

At the heart of the event is the Love Laban Pride Village—a vibrant space featuring interactive booths, raffles, drag showcases, and community-driven fun. The main program spotlights stunning performances from Maxie Anderson, The Addlib, and a fierce lineup of guest drag queens. Hosting the celebration are real-life couple and influencers Kyo Quijano and Luigi Pacheco, along with surprise celebrity hosts.

🌈 Month-Long Pride Activations

Araneta City’s Pride Month kicked off with color and energy through the Rainbow Run by the aRUNeta Run Club on June 1. This was followed by the Rainbow Trade Fair held at Farmers Plaza from June 7 to 10, highlighting queer-owned businesses and advocacy projects in partnership with the Philippine LGBT Chamber of Commerce, Intersex Philippines, and the Quezon City Government.

On June 10, the city hosted Rainbow Talks, a platform for meaningful discussions on equality, representation, and the lived experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals—bringing voices and stories to the forefront.

Online, the celebration continues with the #StoryOfHue digital contest, where participants can win an overnight stay for two at ibis Styles Manila Araneta City. Details are available on Araneta City’s official Twitter page.

“We’ve created a Pride celebration that’s as meaningful as it is joyful,” said Go. “Through performances, conversations, and community collaborations, we honor the LGBTQIA+ community and our shared mission to live freely, authentically, and proudly. Because love truly shines in every hue.”
