Bigetron Era’s Vivian Makes History at The Sphere, Las Vegas

  • First-ever Mobile Legends: Bang Bang women athlete being showcased at The Sphere, a monumental entertainment arena in Las Vegas.
  • The multi-sensory and cinematic showcase officially launched on 21 April, as part of the Esports World Cup campaign.
  • The Mid Season Cup and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational tournaments were showcased at the Esports World Cup with a staggering one-off prize pool.

In honor of Kartini Day, commemorating R.A Kartini’s significant contributions to women’s rights in Indonesia, Vivi “Vivian” Indrawaty, representing Bigetron ERA, made history as the first female athlete of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang to be featured at The Sphere in Las Vegas. Alongside star player David “FlapTzy” Canon from AP.Bren, this multimedia spectacle debuted on MPL Indonesia and the Esports World Cup’s social media platforms and channels on April 21, marking a celebration of the global tournament.

“I was truly surprised to see myself on the LA Sphere representing MLBB Women. Initially, I was just a regular person who enjoyed playing Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, but through dedication and perseverance, I’ve achieved numerous milestones, and now my face is even displayed at the Los Angeles Sphere. To all the women out there striving to pursue their dreams, I say, don’t let negativity deter you during tough times; keep fighting,” expresses Vivian.

A Source of National Inspiration Having competed professionally since 2020, Vivi has consistently showcased exceptional performances at officially sanctioned Mobile Legends: Bang Bang events. She proudly represented Indonesia at the 32nd SEA Games, securing a gold medal, and continually raised the bar for local female athletes at the Women’s Star League and Unipin Series.

Earlier this year, Vivi led Bigetron ERA to victory in the Women’s Star League Season 8, earning them not only a spot in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational (MWI) 2024 but also a direct invitation to the upcoming season of MDL Indonesia, the prestigious 2nd-tier professional league right below MPL ID. This groundbreaking move in Indonesia’s MLBB esports ecosystem will witness women’s teams competing alongside men on the same stage for the first time.

Given her impressive track record, Vivi was selected as the face of this year’s Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational, slated to take place at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Vivi stands as the pioneering female esports athlete showcased at The Sphere in Las Vegas, an iconic LED megastructure spanning over 45,000 square meters that has hosted numerous world-class events.

A new global standard

On April 21, The Sphere will host esports athletes competing in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang as part of the Esports World Cup. Evolving from a mere hobby to a lucrative multi-million dollar industry, esports has now gained mainstream recognition, capable of filling large-scale arenas. This global tournament serves as a centralized platform, uniting top esports titles to establish a new global benchmark for professional and competitive gaming. Among the featured events are the Mid Season Cup and the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational, offering a combined prize pool of USD 3,000,000 and USD 500,000 respectively.

Both Vivi and FlapTzy are poised to redefine the standards of mobile esports at these tournaments, marking a significant milestone in the industry’s evolution.
