Ascott Bonifacio Global City Manila officially welcomed the holiday season with a dazzling Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony held last November 21, 2025, at the Orchard Grand Ballroom. This year’s theme, Casa Capiz: Lighting the Way Home for the Holidays, draws inspiration from the property’s mid-2025 Casa Capiz campaign—an initiative that redefines each stay as a living masterpiece. Echoing the soft, luminous beauty of capiz shells, the evening became a radiant tribute to Filipino Christmas warmth, artistry, community, and heartfelt hospitality.

The event also marked a significant milestone—Ascott BGC’s 11th anniversary, celebrating more than a decade of service excellence and meaningful guest experiences. During the program, The Ascott Limited Philippines’ Cluster General Manager and Ascott BGC General Manager Rennan John Reyes shared exciting innovations and developments that guests can look forward to in 2026.

The celebration opened with a warm holiday welcome as the Ascott BGC team greeted VIP guests, government officials, corporate partners, and members of the media with festive cocktails and a serene live harp performance in the hotel’s elegant lobby. Hosted by singer and TV personality Yanah Laurel, the ceremony’s highlight was the much-awaited lighting of the Christmas Tree—adorned with exquisite, handcrafted capiz ornaments created by Ascott BGC’s partner beneficiary, Bataan Shell Craft Trading. Each ornament, lovingly handmade by artisans from Samal, Bataan, reflected the artistry of nature transformed into timeless holiday décor and meaningful keepsakes.

The night put a spotlight on purpose-driven craftsmanship, honoring the artistry of capiz makers and the stories behind each piece. These handcrafted ornaments were beautifully displayed throughout the property and offered at a dedicated booth in the ballroom foyer, giving guests the opportunity to support local artisans in a tangible, heartfelt way.

Following the ceremonial countdown, the Christmas Tree illuminated the ballroom with themes of homecoming, unity, and shared hope for the season. Guests were then ushered into the Orchard Grand Ballroom for a festive dinner featuring cultural and musical performances, paired with a culinary showcase curated by Ascott BGC’s talented culinary team led by Scott’s Restaurant Executive Chef Prince Patiño.

As a gesture of gratitude, guests took home artisanal gifts—a radiant capiz lamp that echoed the glow of the season and a beautifully woven Ilocano textile honoring Filipino tradition, craftsmanship, and the spirit of home.
