AirAsia Philippines Adds More Flights for Undas Holiday Travel

AirAsia Philippines is ramping up its domestic flight operations this October to meet the growing number of Filipinos traveling home for Undas (All Saints’ Day) and the upcoming long weekend.

In anticipation of one of the country’s busiest travel periods, the airline has increased flight frequencies across several major domestic routes from Manila, giving passengers more options and flexibility during the holiday rush.

Among the expanded routes are:

  • Caticlan: 46 to 54 flights weekly
  • Cebu: 47 to 56 flights weekly
  • Iloilo: 28 to 32 flights weekly
  • Tacloban: 24 to 26 flights weekly
  • Tagbilaran: 21 to 24 flights weekly
  • Puerto Princesa: 20 to 21 flights weekly
  • Kalibo: 17 to 19 flights weekly
  • Cagayan de Oro: 14 to 16 flights weekly

“As one of the country’s busiest travel periods approaches, AirAsia is fully prepared to serve our kababayans who will be paying respects to their departed loved ones or spending quality time with family during the long weekend,” said Capt. Suresh Bangah, AirAsia Philippines President & CEO. “These frequency upgrades are designed to offer more seats and flight options for our guests, ensuring a smooth and convenient travel experience.”

Last year, AirAsia Philippines achieved an 83% load factor during the Undas season, and the airline expects even higher demand this year.

To help travelers enjoy a seamless journey, AirAsia reminds guests to Travel Smart this peak season:

  • Book early. Secure the best fares at least a month in advance as seat availability tightens closer to departure dates.
  • Check baggage allowance. Weigh bags before heading to the airport and purchase additional baggage through the AirAsia MOVE app or website to avoid higher counter fees.
  • Check in online. Save time by checking in via the AirAsia MOVE app and head directly to the bag drop counter at the airport.
  • Arrive early. Expect heavier foot traffic during Undas. Arrive at least two hours before domestic flights and three hours before international departures.

With its expanded schedule and commitment to guest convenience, AirAsia Philippines ensures that every journey home this Undas is safe, easy, and on time.
