Women in the Philippines have faced challenges in accessing economic opportunities due to family commitments and a lack of flexible job options. However, Connected Women and its partners recognize that technology and digital adoption are critical for women’s empowerment and national economic growth and recovery.

The SM SuperMoms Club, a digital community for Filipino mothers with over 240,000 members, has partnered with Connected Women to provide income-generating opportunities through tech upskilling and remote work options. Interested SM SuperMoms members can benefit from the Elevate AIDA training program, which has trained over 55,000 women with the support of like-minded partners such as AboitizPower, UnionBank, and Aboitiz Data Innovation. Connected Women provides its members with opportunities to work on advanced services such as data handling, language annotation, and image annotation for ADI’s Data Science and Artificial Intelligence projects.

The recent partnership with Aboitiz Foundation builds on the Aboitiz Group’s corporate social responsibility legacy as it embarks on its Great Transformation to become the Philippines’ first Techglomerate. The Group is leveraging technology and a renewed entrepreneurial mindset to drive change that creates a better world, supporting education and entrepreneurship initiatives that have a meaningful impact on the lives of all Filipinos.
