True crime fans caught the highly anticipated premiere when it launched this past weekend (Saturday, September 12), rolling out nationwide across multi-platform networks including ALLTV2, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Online Live.
Seasoned investigative reporter Gus Abelgas made his return to the screen to dissect a fresh slate of intense criminal investigations in the newest episodes of ABS-CBN News’ hit docudrama “SOCO,” which officially hit free TV networks on Saturday, September 12.
Rejoining Abelgas for the new season are ABS-CBN News journalists Jessie Cruzat and Jeff Caparas, who help provide comprehensive, investigative breakdowns of recent high-profile homicide cases from around the country.
The season-opening episode tackled the horrific assault and murder of a sophomore tourism student in Nueva Vizcaya, which occurred in February 2026. The broadcast detailed how the perpetrator set fire to the victim’s remains following the attack. The investigation eventually centered on a 33-year-old neighbor, whose unrequited feelings for the student were presented as the primary motive.
