The highly anticipated limited series from Amazon MGM Studios and Alcon Television Group will premiere globally on Prime Video on November 25, 2026

Prime Video electrified fans at the iconic Hall H during San Diego Comic-Con, unveiling new details about the highly anticipated limited series Blade Runner 2099 before an audience of more than 6,500 fans. Taking the stage were series stars Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer, joined by Showrunner Silka Luisa and Executive Producers Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson for an exclusive discussion about the next chapter in the legendary science fiction franchise.

The eight-episode series will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on November 25, 2026, streaming in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

A New Story Set in the Blade Runner Universe

Set 50 years after the events of Blade Runner 2049, Blade Runner 2099 returns audiences to a transformed Los Angeles—one that has been rebuilt, though no longer by humanity.

The story follows Cora, a fugitive determined to stop running from her past. In one final attempt to reclaim her future, she assumes a new identity as a Blade Runner. Along the way, she is forced into an uneasy partnership with Olwen, a Replicant whose life is rapidly coming to an end.

Together, they pursue a mysterious runaway whose hidden secret has the potential to unravel the fragile foundations of the city they call home.

An Acclaimed Ensemble Cast

Joining Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer are series regulars Dimitri Abold (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes) and Lewis Gribben (Somewhere Boy).

The series also features an impressive lineup of recurring guest stars, including Katelyn Rose Downey (The Nun II), Daniel Rigby (Renegade Nell), Johnny Harris (A Gentleman in Moscow), Amy Lennox (Only Child), Sheila Atim (The Woman King), Matthew Needham (House of the Dragon), Tom Burke (Furiosa), and Maurizio Lombardi (Ripley).

A Creative Team Behind the Vision

Blade Runner 2099 is led by Silka Luisa, who serves as both showrunner and executive producer.

The series is executive produced by Ridley Scott, alongside Alcon Entertainment co-founders Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson, Ben Roberts, President of Television at Alcon Entertainment, David W. Zucker, Clayton Krueger of Scott Free Productions, Tom Spezialy, Richard Sharkey, Michael Green, Cynthia Yorkin, Frank Giustra, and Isa Dick Hackett.

Acclaimed director Jonathan van Tulleken (Shōgun) serves as executive producer and directs the first two episodes of the limited series, while Steven Johnson joins the production team as co-executive producer.

With an acclaimed cast, visionary creative team, and an all-new story expanding one of science fiction’s most iconic universes, Blade Runner 2099 is set to continue the franchise’s legacy when all eight episodes premiere exclusively on Prime Video on November 25, 2026.
