TEAM Update New Officers Elected for Entertainment Arts & Media_2

The Entertainment Arts & Media (TEAM) ushers in a new leadership era as it officially names its officers for the 2026–2028 term—bringing together a diverse mix of seasoned media practitioners whose careers reflect decades of experience across journalism, public relations, photography, and talent management.

Leading the organization is newly elected president Noel Orsal, joined by Vice President Edilberto “Obette” Serrano, Secretary Audie “See” Ochagabia, Treasurer Sany Chua, Assistant Treasurer Nimfa Chua, Auditor Nonie Nicasio, and Public Relations Officers Danny Vibas and Adjes Carreon.

From passion to profession

Orsal’s journey to the presidency is anything but conventional. A graduate of Medical Technology, he initially aspired to break into showbiz through photography, singing, and even studying the Japanese language. That passion eventually opened doors—first as a photographer, then as a writer encouraged by editors who saw his potential. Over time, he expanded his footprint into public relations, production management, and even acting, building a multifaceted career that now culminates in leading TEAM.

A legacy of storytelling and public service

Vice President Edilberto “Obette” Serrano brings over four decades of tri-media experience spanning print, television, and radio. Known to many as “Oohlala Obette,” he began his career in fan magazines before contributing to major publications and later transitioning to broadcast journalism. His tenure with ABS-CBN included roles as a reporter for TV Patrol and DZMM, along with appearances in several flagship programs—cementing his reputation as a trusted voice in entertainment and public information.

A blend of industry experience and fresh leadership

Secretary Audie “See” Ochagabia steps into his first official role within TEAM, backed by years of experience in entertainment—from writing for fan magazines to directing concerts and managing talents. His academic path, which included time in a seminary and a degree in Economics from the University of Santo Tomas, reflects the diverse backgrounds that often shape careers in showbiz.

Treasurer Sany Chua, a Mechanical Engineering graduate turned photojournalist, has long been associated with ABS-CBN’s entertainment coverage, while Assistant Treasurer Nimfa Chua, a Banking and Finance graduate, similarly found her calling behind the lens as a professional photographer.

Meanwhile, Auditor Nonie Nicasio—TEAM’s founder and former president—returns in a key oversight role. Originally trained in Marine Transportation, Nicasio transitioned into journalism, eventually discovering a passion for entertainment writing that has defined much of his career.

Rounding out the leadership are PROs Adjes Carreon and Danny Vibas, both academically rooted in media, with degrees in Mass Communication and Journalism, respectively, and backed by extensive experience in entertainment reporting.

Official start of a new chapter

The newly elected officers were formally inducted by Daniel Fernando and Alex Castro at the Bulacan Provincial Hall—marking the official start of their term and signaling a renewed commitment to strengthening the organization’s role in the entertainment media landscape.

With a leadership team shaped by varied paths but united by a shared dedication to storytelling and industry growth, TEAM moves forward into a new chapter—grounded in experience, driven by passion, and ready to navigate the evolving world of entertainment media.
