Grab Philippines recognized the country’s most outstanding restaurants and retailers at the Golden Grab Awards 2025, honoring merchant-partners that have set the “Gold Standard” in today’s rapidly evolving online-to-offline economy.
Leading the night’s top honors were homegrown milk tea favorite Serenitea, named GrabFood Merchant of the Year for National Brands; JT’s Manukan Grille, which took home the award for Nationwide Chains; and Oh Mango, recognized as Merchant of the Year for Citywide Merchants in Metro Manila.
Attended by hundreds of Grab merchant-partners from across the country, the awards ceremony highlighted Grab’s evolution from an on-demand delivery platform into a robust ecosystem that fuels growth across both digital and physical storefronts.
This shared journey of growth was underscored by EJ dela Vega, Grab Philippines Head of Deliveries and Chief Commercial Officer, who reaffirmed the company’s role as a committed growth partner for merchants.
“We know that trust is earned day by day, order by order. And the only way we can repay that trust is by remaining steadfast in our commitment to be the unwavering force behind the growth ambitions of our merchant-partners,” dela Vega said. “Our pledge is simple: to be the partner that ensures when you dream big, you have the tools and the commercial support to achieve it.”
Defining a Standard of Excellence
The Golden Grab Awards put the spotlight on consistency, reliability, and quality across the platform.
In the GrabFood Quality category, Caramia Cakes & Gelato was recognized as Best Rated National Brand, while 24 Chicken earned Most Reliable National Brand honors for operational excellence. On the retail side, Ever Supermarket and Cion’s Meat Shop were named Most Reliable GrabMart Merchants, reflecting their commitment to availability and customer satisfaction.
The ceremony also celebrated the year’s “5-Star Eats”—top-performing city and community merchants that consistently maintained the highest ratings. Honorees included local favorites Mylene’s Ensaymada and Banana Cake, Paya Street Coffee, Quarantea, and CBS Kitchen.
Retail leaders were acknowledged as GrabMart Category Captains, with Pet Express (Pets), Watsons (Pharmacies), and Robinsons Supermarket (Supermarkets) recognized for setting the benchmark in sales performance.
Championing Innovation and Growth
Innovation in marketing and data-driven strategies took center stage as well. Southstar Drug and Davao Central Convenience Store were named Adoption Leaders for effectively leveraging Grab Marketing Solutions. Meanwhile, McDonald’s was awarded Data-Driven Impact Trailblazer for its precision-led campaigns, while Chowking received the Loyalty Innovation Trailblazer award.
Reflecting the industry’s shift toward hybrid dining experiences, JT’s Manukan Grille, Zhenbao Hotpot, and Feta Mediterranean were recognized as Best Dine-Out Merchants for using in-app deals to drive foot traffic to physical stores.
Looking ahead, Greg Camacho, Director for Off-Platform Solutions, emphasized the importance of delivering a seamless, gold-standard experience—whether online or in-store.
“Together, we are changing what it means to be a Grab merchant. Together, we are redefining what it means to be an omnichannel enterprise capable of growing sales across both online and offline channels. And together, we are rewriting the playbook on how to win in an ever-evolving F&B industry,” Camacho said.
