Kwentong Jollibee Valentine Series will make you believe in the power of love

Filipinos are well-known for producing viral videos including our very own number fast food chain, Jollibee. Following last year’s success of everybody’s favorite “Crush”, Jollibee has once again released three stories that garnered more than 50,000 shares in social media known as #Kwentong Jollibee 2018 Valentine series videos. “Homecoming has 4.5M views, 4.2M for “Status” and  a whopping views 9.2M for “Signs”.

The popular Valentine series videos has once again clearly touched the hearts of Filipinos through its tear-jerking, heart warming stories with lessons about love.

Recently, the media was able to meet the whole cast and directors for the #KwentongJollibee2018 stories at the cinema of Ayala Malls The 30th where everyone shared their thoughts about their role, their insights, and how the videos made a difference in their lives.

“Every Valentine’s Day, the brand wants everyone to embrace and feel love with real life stories from #KwentongJollibee2018. And this year, the Valentine series returns with episodes that celebrate the power of love in different ways,” shares Jollibee Global Brand Chief Marketing Officer and PH Marketing Head Francis Flores.

The power of love

“Homecoming is a sequel to last year’s “Crush” which are both directed by Joel Ruiz and is about Gilbert and Ruth who proved that never giving up may result in a happy ending. It is a flashback of the couple’s kilig moments felt from gestures and their love notes on Jollibee Cheesy Yumburger. It made such a huge impact on Filipinos , in fact, the director recalled how much the sales of Jollibee Cheesy Yumburger has soared last year!

The blockbuster hit “Signs” has everybody talking. This one is directed by the the famed movie director Ted Boborol and follows Star as she finds “the one”. The tale has a romantic twist wherein Star has been searching in the wrong places to find true love and realizes that it is her friend Joms that she has been looking for all along.

The last of the series is “Status” and follows the tale of Kat who found out that she has always been loved and that there are people who will always accept her for who she is. Lanco dela Cruz directed this heart touching story.

Regarding “Homecoming”, a netizen said “Do not settle for someone because of his physical attributes or his financial status. Fall for someone who never gets tired of saving you from your own chaos.”

“Ang galing naman! Ang tagal ko nang hindi kinikilig ah, ngayon lang ulit. Relate much ako dun sa mga signs. Kudos, Jollibee!”, an inspired commenter shares.

“This kind of love is the purest of all. Kaya ‘di natin kelangan maghanap ng true love. It will will come at the right time, in the right place, unexpectedly” says one netizen.
