If you’re planning a Palawan itinerary, make sure that both the world-famous destinations— Coron and El Nido are part of it. Here’s your quick guide to ā€œthe last frontierā€ of the Philippines, El Nido.Ā

🚤 How to Get from Coron to El Nido:

We traveled from Coron to El Nido via ferry/sea travel, lasting around 4- 6 hours with just clear blue waters and island views along the way. Relaxing!

Travel Tip: Book your tickets in advance. Bring snacks and water, and take medicine for seasickness beforehand.

šŸœ Lunch at Big Bad Thai – El Nido

After the long sea trip, our first mission was FOOD! We headed straight to Big Bad Thai, a beachfront restaurant located right in El Nido town.

Here’s why we recommend it:
āœ”ļø Delicious Thai dishes (pad thai, curries, and more)
āœ”ļø Beachfront dining

āœ”ļø Relaxing atmosphere: the perfect welcome after a tiring trip

Nothing beats eating good food with the sound of waves and a view of the ocean. It was the best way to officially start our El Nido adventure.

  • āœ… Things to Do in El Nido

The town is smaller compared to Coron, but it has everything you need from budget hostels, to luxury resorts, beach bars, and even nightlife! Here are some activities you can add to your El Nido itinerary:

  • Island Hopping
  • Kayaking in the lagoonsĀ
  • Snorkeling and diving to explore coral reefsĀ
  • Hiking Taraw Cliff for panoramic views of Bacuit BayĀ
  • Chasing waterfalls in inland villagesĀ
  • Beach-hopping to Nacpan, Duli, and Lio Beach

Our El Nido journey has just begun, and if Coron wowed us, El Nido promises even more adventures. Stay tuned as we share more about the island-hopping tours, hidden gems, and why this destination should be on your bucket list. 🌓✨
