Women: Empowering and Celebrating Their Impact at Araneta City

City of Firsts marks Women’s Month with activities that inspire women

Women play a crucial role in the efficient functioning of our homes, workplaces, and nation. From nurturing their families to contributing to the workforce and beyond, women make a profound impact on our world every single day.

As we celebrate Women’s Month this March, Araneta City is committed to empowering women and advocating for equity. “Women are the foundation of our society,” says Marjorie Go, AVP for Marketing at Araneta City. “As we honor Women’s Month, we stand behind women as they continue to break barriers and strive towards shattering that proverbial glass ceiling.”

Araneta City has several activities in place to celebrate and inspire women. The first is Claim it. Own it., an inspiring exhibit showcasing the pioneering achievements of notable Filipinas across various fields. The exhibit runs until March 12 at the Gateway Mall Activity Area.

Another event is the Pop QC: Women’s Month Bazaar from March 17 to 19, which celebrates and promotes women entrepreneurship. Led by women entrepreneurs, the bazaar showcases a diverse range of products made by women from different parts of Quezon City. This event is held in partnership with the J. Amado Araneta Foundation and the local government of Quezon City and will be held on the Ground Floor of Gateway Mall.

Araneta City’s social media accounts will also show support for Pinays through a series of posts that aim to inspire, empower, and enable women to excel in their respective fields.

“We recognize the incredible potential of women to achieve great things,” adds Go. “At Araneta City, we take pride in our efforts to make our society more equitable and just for all women, providing them with the tools and knowledge they need to progress and build a better future for themselves and their families.”
