Amid continued volatility in global fuel markets, Vingroup is doubling down on its push toward sustainable mobility—expanding its “Trade Gas for Electric” program across four key markets: Vietnam, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Alongside this move, the Group is also maintaining a 10% fare reduction for its electric mobility services in select Southeast Asian countries, reinforcing its commitment to making green transport more accessible.

Incentivizing the shift to electric
Under the expanded program, customers who switch from gasoline-powered vehicles to electric models from VinFast can enjoy additional savings—3% off electric cars and 5% off electric motorcycles. These discounts are layered on top of existing promotions, making the transition to electric mobility more compelling than ever.
The initiative reflects a broader strategy: not just encouraging adoption, but accelerating it through tangible, cost-saving benefits.
More affordable green mobility
Beyond vehicle ownership, Vingroup continues to support everyday commuters through its electric ride-hailing platforms. Users of Xanh SM in Vietnam and Green SM in Indonesia and Laos will continue to receive a 10% fare reduction on all trips—making eco-friendly transport a practical option for daily use.
Building momentum for a greener future
According to Duong Thi Thu Trang, Deputy CEO of Global Sales at VinFast, the program—initially launched in March—has already created significant traction, helping hundreds of thousands of customers make the switch to electric vehicles. Extending the initiative not only broadens access but also contributes directly to reducing fuel consumption and environmental impact.
Strong demand signals a growing shift
The response has been immediate and substantial. On March 28, 2026, VinFast recorded an impressive 3,520 electric vehicle orders completed in a single day—equivalent to 2.4 vehicles processed every minute. This milestone underscores both the company’s operational strength and the accelerating global shift toward electric mobility.
Driving change at scale
As fuel costs remain unpredictable, Vingroup’s expanded incentives position electric vehicles as not just an environmentally responsible choice, but an economically strategic one. By combining affordability, accessibility, and infrastructure support, the Group continues to play a pivotal role in shaping a cleaner, more sustainable transportation ecosystem across Asia.
