An epic conclusion rooted in identity, resilience, and national pride

VannDa, Cambodia’s most influential music artist, has released the final chapter of his groundbreaking trilogy, Treyvisai III: Return to Sovannaphum—now streaming on all major platforms worldwide.
The Treyvisai trilogy is more than a musical journey—it’s a deep, introspective narrative that traces VannDa’s growth as an artist and a person. From the searching uncertainty of Treyvisai I: The Search for Light, to the anger and emotional unrest of Treyvisai II: Burn Like The Sun, the final chapter, Return to Sovannaphum, is a celebration of healing, purpose, and cultural pride.
“I made Return to Sovannaphum for my people,” says VannDa. “We’ve survived war, pain, and cultural erasure—but our spirit has never been broken. Every time I create music using our sounds and soul, I’m not just doing it for myself—I’m doing it for every Khmer kid who’s never seen themselves represented. This album is our voice now.”
“Golden Land”: A Cinematic Tribute to Cambodia
At the heart of the album is “Golden Land”, VannDa’s most ambitious music video to date, which premiered on May 13. A powerful visual experience that blends two tracks—“Golden Land” and “Varman Blood”—the video is a poetic love letter to Cambodia, portraying its resilience, beauty, and boundless spirit. A Promise Fulfilled: More Than Just a Sequel
The album also delivers on a promise VannDa made to fans: when his viral hit Time to Rise reached 100 million views, he would release a sequel. True to his word, he didn’t stop at one song—he delivered an entire 10-track album rooted in Khmer culture, history, and identity. Return to Sovannaphum is both a personal expression and a national tribute.
This trilogy also marks VannDa’s first full-length release since officially joining global music company EMPIRE in March 2025—a move that signals Cambodia’s expanding influence in the global music scene.
“This isn’t just an album—it’s a cultural milestone,” says Laura Mam, CEO of Baramey Production. “Return to Sovannaphum is a call to action. It marks the beginning of a Cambodian renaissance, with VannDa leading the way.”
The Trilogy: A Journey Through Sound and Soul
- Treyvisai I: The Search for Light (released March 14) opened with “Smoke Up,” a powerhouse collaboration with Thai rap sensation YOUNGOHM, symbolizing the rise of Southeast Asian hip-hop on the global stage.
[Watch the music video here.] - Treyvisai II: Burn Like The Sun (released March 21) took a darker turn, exploring themes of chaos and inner conflict. Its explosive track “NO DISRESPECT” fused rap, metal, and rage music into a stadium-ready anthem that showcased VannDa’s bold, unfiltered artistry.
