CES Best of Innovation Award Winner Redefines In-Vehicle Experience Powered by Affectionate Intelligence
LG Electronics (LG) is set to bring its vision of future mobility to life at CES 2026 with an immersive experiential space that showcases how Affectionate Intelligence can redefine the in-vehicle experience. Designed to put people at the center of mobility, the exhibit demonstrates how AI can intelligently transform the driver, front passenger, and rear seating areas—reimagining the vehicle cabin as a more intuitive, responsive, and human-centered environment that enhances every journey.

This breakthrough lineup has earned LG the CES 2026 Best of Innovation Award in In-Vehicle Entertainment, marking the first time the LG Vehicle Solution Company has received the category’s top honor. The recognition underscores LG’s leadership in integrating advanced display technologies, in-cabin sensing, and on-device AI into a unified AI-Defined Vehicle architecture.

Three Core Experiences, One Intelligent Cabin
At the heart of the showcase are three experiential solutions that illustrate how AI elevates mobility beyond transportation:
Mobility Display Solution
This solution transforms the vehicle’s windshield into an intelligent, transparent interface powered by OLED technology. AI delivers only the most relevant information at the right moment—for instance, displaying the remaining wait time above a traffic light as a vehicle approaches. In autonomous driving mode, the system analyzes the surrounding environment and overlays immersive visuals: cherry blossom petals appear on tree-lined roads, while long, dull tunnels morph into enchanting forest scenes, creating a near-virtual-reality experience that makes travel more engaging.

Automotive Vision Solution
Powered by LG’s Automotive Vision System, this advanced in-cabin sensing solution enhances safety while enabling context-aware and empathetic interactions. Using Vision AI, the system tracks driver and passenger movement, gaze direction, attention level, gestures, and even clothing color in real time. Eye tracking and gesture recognition expand access to interest-based information, while anamorphic display graphics heighten immersion. In autonomous mode, for example, when a passenger looks at a building advertisement, gaze recognition can instantly surface related information on the passenger display—enabling seamless discovery and even purchasing.
In-Vehicle Entertainment Solution
Designed to personalize every ride, this solution delivers AI-driven entertainment and interactive communication. By recognizing scenery outside the vehicle, the system can display photos tied to personal memories associated with that location, which passengers can share instantly through video calls with loved ones. On longer trips, AI recommends content tailored to individual preferences, turning travel time into meaningful moments. In another use case, AI translates sign language into on-screen text, enabling smooth two-way communication when interacting with service staff.

Driving the Future of AI-Defined Vehicles
“We are bringing our future mobility vision to life by embedding AI across our solutions—many of which, including in-cabin sensing, are already in production with global OEMs,” said Eun Seok-hyun, President of the LG Vehicle Solution Company. “By accelerating these innovations to market, we aim to pioneer the era of AI-driven vehicles in the years ahead.”
LG’s AI-powered in-vehicle solutions will be on display at CES 2026 from January 6–9 at LG’s booth (#15004, Las Vegas Convention Center), offering visitors a firsthand look at how intelligent technology is shaping the future of mobility.
