For Alkindar J. Amil, working at a Caltex station in Zamboanga City is more than a job—it’s a continuation of a legacy rooted in humility. After his contract with a government agency ended in 2018, Alkindar found a new path as a CSR, inspired by his late father, a pedicab driver who faithfully served their community for two decades.
“Nagturo siya sa akin na walang maliit na trabaho, basta marangal,” he recalls—a principle that continues to guide him today.
Now a station supervisor, Alkindar starts his day before sunrise, braving long hours and intense heat while serving customers with sincerity. His commitment has not gone unnoticed. He recently gained attention online for clearly explaining fuel price fluctuations, earning praise for making complex topics accessible to everyday motorists.
In his eighth year with Caltex, Alkindar carries forward the values he learned from his father, determined to pass on humility, patience, and respect to the next generation.
Calm Under Pressure: Henry John T. Abonero
Newcomer Henry John T. Abonero may have less than a year of experience, but his dedication to service is already evident. Starting as a trainee at Caltex Magallanes in early 2026, he quickly transitioned into a full-time role—driven by a simple mission: to assist motorists with efficiency and care.
In a fast-paced environment where customers are often in a rush, Henry has learned the importance of composure. “Kailangang marunong kang makipag-usap nang maayos at maging mahinahon sa salita,” he shares, emphasizing the value of clear and respectful communication.
For Henry, the Caltex uniform represents more than just work attire—it’s a symbol of honest service and pride in doing his job right, every single day.
Precision and Purpose: Joseph Nacion
At Caltex’s flagship station in Bonifacio Global City, Joseph Nacion exemplifies attention to detail and professionalism. What began as a means to support his family has evolved into a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
From ensuring accurate fuel dispensing to maintaining station cleanliness and handling end-of-day reports, Joseph approaches every task with discipline. His diligence has earned the trust of customers—especially in moments that require extra care.
He recalls assisting a hurried motorist whose requested fuel type didn’t match the vehicle’s specification. Despite initial impatience, Joseph calmly explained the risks of misfueling, ultimately earning the customer’s gratitude.
Beyond his daily responsibilities, Joseph encourages motorists to practice patience and understanding, especially during peak hours. For him, service is not just about efficiency—it’s about safety, trust, and mutual respect.
