TP Philippines, a global leader in digital business services, is expanding its Artificial Intelligence (AI) Literacy Training component under its Skills Training to Employment Program (TP STEP), strengthening its efforts to prepare near-hires for the evolving demands of the business process industry.

The enhanced learning track is being implemented in partnership with CyberGuardiansPH, a non-profit organization committed to building a safer cyberspace through collaborations with the public and private sectors.
Through the integration of AI Ready ASEAN training modules and learning sessions, TP STEP participants will gain foundational and practical knowledge in artificial intelligence, digital responsibility, and emerging workplace technologies.
AI Literacy Added to 15-Day TP STEP Learning Journey
Under TP STEP, trainees complete a comprehensive 15-day learning journey with TP, which now incorporates AI literacy and readiness modules alongside core employability and customer experience training.
Participants who successfully complete the program will graduate with greater exposure to digital tools and technologies, equipping them with skills that are increasingly relevant in today’s technology-driven business environment.
In partnership with the Pasig LGU, TP STEP has helped strengthen employability among aspiring professionals and members of local communities by providing industry-relevant training and pathways toward careers in the IT-BPM sector.
The addition of AI-focused learning reflects the growing role of digital transformation across industries, as well as the increasing adoption of AI-powered solutions in the modern workplace.
“As AI continues to reshape industries globally, it is important that workforce development programs evolve alongside these advancements,” said TP in the Philippines VP for Human Resources Rachel Cacabelos.
“By integrating AI literacy into TP STEP, we are helping ensure that more applicants gain meaningful exposure to the technologies that are becoming part of everyday operations in the customer experience and business services sector,” she added.
Connecting AI Training with the Future of Work
The program enhancement also reflects the way TP’s own operations are increasingly incorporating AI-enabled tools and systems to deliver services to clients and improve internal efficiencies.
At the same time, the company continues to emphasize the role of human expertise, empathy, and critical thinking, combining these capabilities with technological innovation to deliver better outcomes for customers and organizations.
This approach underscores the changing nature of work in the business services sector, where digital skills and AI awareness are increasingly complementing—not simply replacing—human capabilities.
AI Ready ASEAN Brings Regional AI Skills to Filipino Learners
AI Ready ASEAN is a regional initiative launched by the ASEAN Foundation, with CyberGuardiansPH serving as one of its local implementing partners, with support from Google.org.
The initiative aims to equip individuals across ASEAN Member States with essential AI skills, helping communities better understand and responsibly engage with emerging technologies.
“AI readiness and cybersecurity awareness are becoming essential competencies in today’s digital economy,” said CyberGuardiansPH Executive Director Paolo Sangil.
“Through this partnership, we hope to help empower more Filipinos with practical knowledge that will support both their employability and responsible participation in an increasingly AI-enabled world.”

Supporting Inclusive and Future-Ready Talent Development
The rollout of the enhanced TP STEP program forms part of TP in the Philippines’ continuing efforts to promote inclusive talent development, digital upskilling, and future-ready workforce initiatives.
The expansion comes as TP celebrates 30 years of operations in the Philippines, highlighting the company’s ongoing focus on developing local talent and helping prepare Filipino workers for the evolving requirements of the digital economy.
By bringing AI literacy into its training-to-employment pathway, TP STEP provides aspiring professionals with an opportunity to build foundational knowledge in technologies that are increasingly becoming part of the workplace—while strengthening the broader talent pipeline for the Philippine IT-BPM industry.
