SM Supermalls proudly partners with HOPE and the Department of Education (DepEd) to launch Generation Hope, a nationwide campaign that turns everyday purchases into meaningful support for Filipino students—by helping build much-needed classrooms across the country.
The initiative was officially launched on May 26, 2025, at Samsung Hall, SM Aura, and brings together a coalition of brands committed to closing the education infrastructure gap. These include BDO, Aivee, Carmen’s Best, Grab, Penshoppe, and Sunnies, alongside SM Supermalls.

While the SM Foundation has already built 110 school buildings with 374 classrooms, SM Supermalls deepens its commitment to education by supporting HOPE’s Build a Classroom Project. This new collaboration aims to construct 10 additional public school classrooms, funded through the sale of specially branded SM Bottled Water. With every purchase, customers directly contribute to the classroom fund—proving that even small choices can spark big change.
“At SM, we believe that investing in education is investing in the future,” said Steven Tan, President of SM Supermalls. “Through this partnership, we aim to empower the next generation by building inclusive, safe learning spaces where students can grow and thrive.”
“We are grateful to our partners for turning simple actions—like buying bottled water—into opportunities for lasting impact,” added Nanette Medved-Po, Founder of HOPE.

“Generation Hope reflects our mission to make quality education accessible to every Filipino,” said DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing the country’s education challenges.
This meaningful partnership supports SM Cares’ advocacy for children and youth empowerment, encouraging every Filipino to take part in nation-building—one bottle at a time.
So the next time you visit your nearest SM mall, grab an SM Bottled Water and take pride in knowing that your purchase helps build classrooms and fuel the dreams of students nationwide.
