After taking the music scene by storm in 2025 with their viral hits “Pag-ibig Ay Kanibalismo II” and “Kalapastangan,” Filipino alt-rock band Fitterkarma is set to begin the new year with a bang. The band will launch their upcoming single “Aswang Sa Maynila” with an electrifying live event on February 14, 2026 at 123 Block, Mandaluyong City.
Produced by Fitterkarma in partnership with GNN and ONErpm, the Bangungot: “Aswang Sa Maynila” Single Launch will feature a high-energy, hour-long set from the band, along with an exciting lineup of support acts.
“We’ve got an amazing lineup of artists supporting us,” says frontman Joao de Leon. “For our set, we’ll be playing more songs than usual, including some old favorites, unreleased material, and a few surprising covers that we’re really excited to share.”
Set for release on February 13, “Aswang Sa Maynila” explores themes of displacement and longing, reflecting the feeling of not belonging in someone’s heart, no matter what you do. Joao describes the track as, “Capturing the frustration of wanting to say so much to someone you care about but feeling powerless and unheard.”
The song, composed by Joao de Leon with contributions from bandmates Soph, Ders, and Mikee, was produced by Xergio Ramos, who helped bring the band’s vision to life with a balance of their ideas. Drawing inspiration from J-Rock and heavier music styles, the track also features guest vocals from Kai Sevillano of Novocrane, marking Fitterkarma’s first collaboration with another artist.
“We’re super excited about having Kai as the voice on this track,” Joao adds. “It’s a special collaboration for us, and it’s something we can’t wait to share with our fans.”
