Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. showcased its “Companion to AI Living” vision at The First Look, its CES® 2026 event held at the Wynn Las Vegas, highlighting how AI is shaping the future of connected devices, entertainment, home appliances, and personal care.

Opening the event, TM Roh, CEO and Head of Samsung’s Device eXperience (DX) Division, emphasized Samsung’s leadership in AI and the company’s goal of delivering a true AI companion experience. At the center of this innovation is the 130-inch Micro RGB TV, offering the widest and most detailed color spectrum ever in Samsung TVs. Powered by the Micro RGBAI Engine Pro, each micro-sized RGB diode produces pure, natural colors. Its Timeless Frame design allows the content to shine while maintaining elegance in the home.

Samsung’s Vision AI Companion (VAC) takes entertainment further, guiding users on what to watch, what to eat, and what music to play, creating a personalized, multi-device lifestyle experience. Features include:

• AI Soccer Mode Pro – Stadium-level picture and sound for sports fans
• AI Sound Controller Pro – Customize audio elements for shows or movies
• Multi-device integration with The Movingstyle and connected appliances

The 2026 TV lineup also introduces HDR10+ ADVANCED and Eclipsa Audio, enhancing brightness, motion, and spatial sound across all content.

Gamers and creators benefit from the Odyssey 6K 3D G9 and new Odyssey G6/G8 monitors, pushing boundaries in resolution, refresh rate, and immersive visuals. All Samsung displays run the most advanced Tizen OS yet, supporting seven years of upgrades for continuous evolution.

Home Companion: AI-Powered Smart Appliances

Samsung’s home appliances are evolving into AI-powered companions. With SmartThings now serving over 430 million users, appliances like the Family Hub refrigerator now feature AI Vision with Google Gemini, simplifying meal planning, food management, and recipe recommendations through SmartThings Food.

Other innovations include:

• Bespoke AI Laundry Combo – Faster cycles and enhanced drying
• Bespoke AI AirDresser – Auto wrinkle care for effortless clothing care
• Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra – Advanced sensors for cleaning, pet monitoring, and home security

Samsung also partnered with Hartford Steam Boiler (HSB) to unlock savings for connected home insurance, integrating AI-driven insights to reduce risk and costs.

Care Companion: Proactive Health and Wellness

Samsung’s vision extends to proactive healthcare, leveraging AI across devices and wearables to detect early health concerns, provide personalized coaching, and facilitate virtual consultations via the Xealth platform. Research into dementia detection through subtle mobility and speech tracking demonstrates the company’s commitment to preventive care.

Samsung Knox and Knox Matrix form the backbone of this ecosystem, ensuring secure AI-powered experiences while continually identifying and mitigating AI risks.
