Philippines’ Tourism Promotions Board Shines at Arabian Travel Market 2023

The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) of the Philippines is once again making its mark at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2023, the premier global event for the inbound and outbound travel industry in the Middle East. The event is taking place from May 1st to May 4th, 2023, at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) in Dubai, UAE.

This year’s ATM revolves around the theme “Working Towards Net Zero,” which explores cutting-edge and environmentally friendly travel trends, while identifying potential growth strategies within specific sectors of the industry.

The participation of the Philippines in ATM 2023 aims to enhance the promotion of the country as a leisure, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), and investment destination. It also aims to reconnect with partners in the Middle East and establish valuable sales leads and commercial connections with consumers from the region.

“The ATM 2023 presents an opportunity for us to strengthen our ties in the Middle East and its neighboring countries. It is a chance for us to intensify our efforts in attracting tourists from this region so that they may discover the multitude of wonderful destinations that our country has to offer. The presence of a significant number of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in this region opens up many possibilities for Middle Easterners to learn more about the Philippines and its must-visit attractions,” stated Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles, Chief Operating Officer of TPB.

The Philippine delegation, led by Undersecretary Shereen Gail Uy-Pamintuan from the Department of Tourism (DOT), along with TPB’s Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles, is accompanied by representatives from DOT Region III, the Philippine Retirement Authority, and lawmakers representing Batangas, Bohol, Cebu, Quezon City, and Surigao del Norte. The private sector is also well-represented, with companies such as Annset Holidays, Inc., Atlantis Hotel, Atmosphere Resort and Spa, Blue Horizons Travel and Tours, Cebu Pacific Air, CTPH Lifestyle and Travel Services, Divaishnavi International Inc., Earth Explorers, JLT Travel and Tours, Okada Manila, Philippine Airlines, Pink Lily Travel & Tours Inc., The Lind Boracay, Ties That Travel, Travelite Travel and Tours, and Via.com joining the delegation.

ATM is anticipated to attract more than 30,000 visitors and buyers, with over 1,000 exhibitors from 150 countries. This event serves as a significant platform, providing participants with valuable visibility and networking opportunities with new and prospective buyers.
