The JAECOO J7 SHS and OMODA C7 SHS clocked a combined distance of 100,000 kilometers, demonstrating the cutting-edge capabilities of SHS and reinforcing the brand’s position as a global leader in hybrid and sustainable mobility.

The JAECOO J7 SHS leads this innovation in the Philippine market, offering what’s touted as the smoothest turbocharged hybrid powertrain in the local SUV segment.

At the core of SHS is a 1.5T GDI turbocharged engine paired with a DHT hybrid transmission. Together, they deliver a robust 342 horsepower, 525 Nm of torque, 44.5% thermal efficiency, and an impressive 98.5% electric drive efficiency. The system also uses regenerative braking and intelligent power management to optimize fuel and energy usage.

Beyond performance, SHS puts a premium on safety. The system features a comprehensive battery protection system with heat resistance, impact resilience, and waterproofing. In the event of a collision, a 2-millisecond power cutoff function prevents thermal runaway — a standout feature in its class.

Both models underwent extreme testing during the Super Hybrid Marathon, part of the brand’s 2025 Summer Business Summit. From icy roads and scorching deserts to rugged off-road terrains, the vehicles proved their reliability in real-world conditions.
The JAECOO J7 SHS was put to the test across Mexico, the Philippines, Thailand, Brazil, and more. In Mexico, the model set a new record with a 1,613.1 km combined range, surpassing its previous record of 1,488.8 km during the Automobile Association Philippines Verification Test in January 2025.
In Thailand, it achieved remarkable fuel efficiency at just 3.1L/100km, while in Brazil, the model was praised for its silent operation in pure electric mode.
Meanwhile, the OMODA C7 SHS traveled from Shanghai to Wuhu, enduring various conditions including urban roads, rural terrain, and rainy nights. It reached a distance of 1,457 km on a single tank in hybrid mode, offered a 121.1 km pure electric range, and maintained a 4.4L/100km fuel consumption rate.
Following its debut at the Auto Shanghai 2025 Showcase, these real-world results further establish the OMODA C7 SHS as a serious contender in the hybrid SUV market.
