Adventure awaits as Marc Nelson and Christi McGarry jet off to three of Australia’s most iconic destinations—Sydney, Gold Coast, and Brisbane—in a new three-part special of Metro Channel’s travel series, “Beached.”
Kicking off the journey is the Sydney episode, premiering Saturday, July 19 at 7 PM, where the hosts dive into the city’s rich culture and coastal charm. From a thrilling climb up the Sydney Harbour Bridge to an immersive wildlife retreat at Taronga Zoo, plus scenic stops at Midden by Mark Olive and Me-Gal restaurants, the episode captures both urban energy and nature’s beauty. The tour wouldn’t be complete without a stroll down the iconic Bondi Beach.
“It’s one thing to admire the Sydney Harbour Bridge, but it’s another thing entirely to stand on top of it,” shares Marc. “It’s not just a thrill—it’s a walk through history, engineering, and resilience.”

In the July 26 episode, the duo heads to Gold Coast, which Marc calls “a playground built for thrill seekers.” From jet ski safaris and surfing to serene paddleboarding sessions, this stop is packed with pulse-pounding adventures and breathtaking coastline views.
Finally, the journey wraps up in Brisbane on August 2, where Marc and Christi discover the city’s laid-back yet lively vibe. They’ll go go-karting, swim in a crystal-clear lagoon, enjoy a hearty Aussie breakfast, and explore local favorites.
