Manila, Philippines — L’Oréal Philippines enters a new era as it officially opens its state-of-the-art headquarters at The Podium West Tower in Ortigas, Pasig City, marking a milestone in its 36-year presence in the country. The event, dubbed “Sense of Purpose,” brought together more than 350 guests, including government officials, business leaders, students, advocates, and partner organizations, to highlight the beauty giant’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and inclusive growth.

The new office, located on the 35th floor of a LEED Gold-certified building, is fully powered by renewable energy and designed for the future of work. It features advanced, ergonomic, and tech-enabled spaces that promote collaboration, well-being, and environmental responsibility. Among its key highlights is the L’Oréal Academy, a space dedicated to upskilling talents in the beauty industry, alongside livestream rooms and open, flexible workspaces.

Championing the Role of Beauty in Economic and Social Progress

At the “Sense of Purpose” celebration, L’Oréal emphasized how the beauty industry contributes to national development—not just through products, but through people. From manufacturing to e-commerce, salons, and social commerce, the beauty sector helps drive employment, self-confidence, wellness, and especially women empowerment.

“We are not just inaugurating a new office—we are renewing our commitment to act with purpose and lead with impact,” said Yassine Bakkari, Country Managing Director of L’Oréal Philippines. “Beauty is essential—to self-confidence, livelihood, sustainability, and progress. This new headquarters is a physical representation of our pledge to provide beauty for each Filipino.”

Elevating Filipino Beauty Through Technology

As the Philippine beauty landscape continues to evolve, L’Oréal leverages Beauty Tech to deliver personalized experiences that celebrate Filipino diversity. The event showcased tools like the Lancôme Skin Screen, Kérastase K-Scan, and Kiehl’s Instant Skin Reader, which offer cutting-edge diagnostic technology that reads real-time skin and scalp conditions, bringing scientific precision to beauty care.

Taking Bold Steps Towards Circular Economy

Plastic pollution remains one of the country’s pressing environmental challenges—and L’Oréal is doing its part. In collaboration with PCX Markets, L’Oréal has recovered over 875 metric tons of plastic waste since 2023—roughly the weight of 150 jeepneys. L’Oréal and its partners transform these plastics into upcycled furniture and PET flakes. The company also encourages consumer action through its Recycle for Rewards program with Watsons, motivating beauty users to return their empty product containers in exchange for perks.

Empowering Communities Through Beauty and Education

Nearly 3,000 Filipinos have benefited from L’Oréal’s Beauty For A Better Life and Inclusive Sourcing programs. Among them are women from vulnerable sectors who gained hairdressing and digital skills. These trainings help them build sustainable livelihoods.

“By 2030, we aim to empower 10,000 Filipinos with the skills and opportunities to thrive in the beauty industry,” added Bakkari. “This would not be possible without the support of our partners in local government, the private sector, and NGOs.”

Among the key collaborators recognized were Watsons, TikTok, SPARK! L’Oréal works closely with partners like Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) and several city governments. These include Quezon City, Makati, Manila, Mandaluyong, Marikina, Pateros, Antipolo, and Taguig.

Beauty That Moves the Philippines

L’Oréal continues to prove that beauty goes beyond skin deep. The company champions sustainability, innovation, and empowerment to shape a future where beauty is inclusive, responsible, and impactful. As it starts a new chapter, L’Oréal reaffirms its mission to move the Philippines forward through innovation, community, and change
