Asia’s Romantic Balladeer, Christian Bautista, deepens ties with GMA as he renews his contract with the network.
Last May 6th, 2025, Christian Bautista’s “Kapuso Day” was held at GMA’s Studio 6 wherein a contract signing was held and attended by President and CEO Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr., Executive Vice President and CFO Felipe S. Yalong, Officer-In-Charge For Entertainment Group and Vice President for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy, and Nyma COO Kat R. Bautista.
First Vice President and Head of International Operations Joseph T. Francia, First Vice President for Radio Operations Group Glenn F. Allona, Vice President for Comedy, Infotainment, Game, and Reality Productions Janine Piad-Nacar, Vice President for Musical, Variety, Specials, and Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara, Consultant for the Entertainment Group Darling De Jesus-Bodegon, and other Network officers, and Christian’s parents, Elbert and Jo Bautista were amongst the attendees of the intimate gathering.
When asked about what project/s he really enjoyed doing so far this year, Bautista shared that it was “The Clash, yung singing contest na judge ako [with] Miss Lani, Miss Ai-Ai—I’m excited sa mga bagong clashers, I’m excited sa mga bagong songs.” On a follow-up question about what project/s he is looking forward to before the year ends, Bautista teased with music and a collaboration that he said he can’t share yet but is already in the works and has already recorded.
During the whole interview with the media, it was clear that he was really happy and excited about being a judge in The Philippines’ all-original singing and reality competition show, The Clash.
The event didn’t end without, of course, a very special performance by the man of the hour! “The Way You Look at Me” was performed by Christian Bautista before wrapping the special ceremony of his Kapuso Day.
