BRIT Award-winning electronic trio Jungle has officially released their highly anticipated fifth studio album, Sunshine. The record introduces a radiant, highly optimistic sonic direction while preserving the signature, groove-heavy dance floor energy that defines their career.Coinciding with the album drop, the group also debuted the official music video for the title track.Listeners can now stream the brand-new single here and watch the cinematic music video here.

Across its 11-track runtime, Sunshine captures J Lloyd, Tom McFarland, and Lydia Kitto pushing Jungle’s genre-blurring mix of soul, hip-hop, disco, and electronics into new territory. The project swaps darker club grooves for a radiant, open atmosphere anchored by intricate vocal arrangements. Thematically, the album is a celebration of vulnerability, hope, and mutual connection—ultimately crafting a deeply reassuring record focused on looking forward.
Notably, Sunshine is the first album to credit Lydia Kitto as an official member alongside founders J Lloyd and Tom McFarland. Kitto’s vocals serve as the emotional anchor of the project, steering the lead melodies while the group’s collective, layered harmonies shape the album’s defining sonic identity.
“For us, ‘Sunshine’ isn’t about weather or seasons. It’s a feeling. It’s a place you carry around in your mind. Somewhere you imagine when you’re looking towards better days. It represents light, vibration and energy. It doesn’t tell you how to feel, it simply exists. Once we realised that, it naturally became the title of both the song and the album.” — Jungle
Built on a foundation of altered guitars, homemade vocal clips, reworked demos, and raw performances, Sunshine represents a more instinctual and organic approach to the trio’s creative process.
On the eve of the album’s debut, Jungle hosted synchronized global listening parties, giving international audiences an advance listen to Sunshine. The rollout heavily featured independent record stores throughout Southeast Asia—with hubs in Manila, Jakarta, Singapore, and across Malaysia—where communities of fans gathered for early playback sessions and walked away with limited-edition memorabilia.
Pre-release singles like “Carry On,” “The Wave,” and “Someday, Somewhere” have already secured massive broadcast momentum, netting two BBC Radio 1 Hottest Record honors. This widespread acclaim extends far beyond the UK, with the tracks picking up heavy heavy airplay rotation throughout international markets, particularly across Southeast Asia.
The new record arrives on the heels of the band’s highly successful 2023 release, Volcano. That breakthrough album birthed the global phenomenon “Back On 74,” a track that dominated international charts and secured more than 557 million streams. Sunshine is currently available for purchase in three physical formats: CD, standard black vinyl, and a limited translucent brown marble vinyl edition.
Jungle is kicking off a massive world tour next month, featuring their biggest headlining performances to date. The global tour will see the band hitting stages across North America, Europe, the UK, Australia, and Latin America.
