Hotel101 Group has officially partnered with the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) to support the Balik Bayani sa Turismo (BBST) Program, a key initiative under IPON Tourism. This program is designed to help Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) reintegrate into Philippine society through sustainable livelihood and investment opportunities in the tourism sector.

The ceremonial signing took place on November 27, 2025, at the DOT Main Office in Makati City, with Hotel101 GM Charley Magabo, DOT Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco, and DMW Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac in attendance.
The BBST Program formalizes the commitment of both government agencies to provide OFWs and their families with opportunities in entrepreneurship, investments, financial literacy, and structured livelihood programs.
“Today’s signing with IPON Tourism marks a significant expansion of our partnership with the DMW,” said Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco. “This pillar allows OFWs to actively participate in tourism industries as investors or entrepreneurs. Opportunities include condotel investments, offering credible and structured paths to long-term financial security.”
Through this initiative, OFWs can invest in Hotel101 projects such as Hotel101-Davao and Hotel101-Libis Bridgetowne. Investors receive a 30% share in gross hotel revenues and 10 complimentary stay vouchers redeemable at any Hotel101 property worldwide.
“Hotel101 proudly offers investment pathways that are transparent, accessible, and rewarding for OFWs,” said GM Charley Magabo. “Our OFWs are more than contributors to the economy—they are partners in progress. This initiative provides them a stake in the hospitality industry and access to unique experiences across the Philippines and around the globe.”
Magabo highlighted the group’s expansion plans: “From our Manila and Fort properties, we are growing next year with Hotel101-Davao, Hotel101-Cebu, and internationally with Hotel101-Madrid and Hotel101-Niseko. Our vision is to bring the Filipino hotel brand to 100 countries worldwide, creating a network where every Filipino—whether guest or unit owner—feels at home anywhere.”
Hotel101, a homegrown Filipino brand, aims to build 1 million hotel rooms globally. On July 1, 2025, it became the first Filipino company listed on the US NASDAQ, reflecting Filipino innovation and resilience on the international stage. As of November 25, 2025, Hotel101 Global boasts a market capitalization of $1.9 billion USD (₱112 billion), positioning it as a major contributor of US Dollar inflows to the Philippine economy.
