The premier trailer for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet has been released simultaneously worldwide and its premier trailer can be viewed on the official Pokémon YouTube channel.

With Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, the Pokémon series takes a new evolutionary step, allowing you to explore freely in a richly expressed open world.

Various towns and cities blend seamlessly into the wilderness with no borders. You’ll be able to see the Pokémon of this region in the skies, in the seas, in the forests, on the streets—all over! In addition, in these games, you’ll be able to experience the true joy of the Pokémon series—battling against wild Pokémon in order to catch them—now in an open-world game that players of any age can enjoy.

As one of the main characters, you’ll jump into the world of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet to go on your adventure. Your outfit will also vary depending on whether you play Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet. Who knows what kind of story awaits you?

The three Pokémon from which you’ll be able to choose your first partner in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are the Grass Cat Pokémon Sprigatito, the Fire Croc Pokémon Fuecoco, and the Duckling Pokémon Quaxly.

How will you meet these three, and what sorts of Pokémon are they? Please look forward to finding out.

After their release, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will be able to link with Pokémon HOME. By linking these games with Pokémon HOME, you’ll be able to have Pokémon from other regions adventure alongside you in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet!

Pokémon HOME is a cloud service for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices (iOS/Android), designed as a place where all Pokémon can gather. By linking Pokémon HOME with other services and software titles, you’ll be able to bring together Pokémon from other games—such as the main Pokémon series games and Pokémon GO—to deposit them in Pokémon Boxes and trade with people all over the world.

What is Pokémon Day?

The first games in the Pokémon series, Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green were released in Japan on February 27, 1996. For the Pokémon brand that was born from these games, this was a day of beginnings truly worth commemorating. February 27 has come to be known and celebrated by fans outside Japan as Pokémon Day.

To spread awareness of the special day in Japan as well, the Pokémon Company has set February 27 as Pokémon Day and had the anniversary recognized by the Japan Anniversary Association. In establishing this special day, we hope to express our gratitude to everyone who has supported Pokémon over the years.
