Globe is once again putting the spotlight on innovation and collaboration as it mounts the third Globe Developers Conference (DevCon), a full-day celebration of technology and creativity happening on October 9 at The Globe Tower.

Now in its third year, DevCon has grown into a premier platform for developers, engineers, and innovators to connect and build with purpose. This year’s theme, “Harnessing the Power to Create,” emphasizes the role of human imagination in shaping intelligent, AI-driven solutions—reminding participants that technology’s true value lies in improving lives.

Developers are the builders of the future,” said Globe Chief Information Officer Raul Macatangay. “Through DevCon, we create an environment where talent, technology, and purpose converge. Innovation doesn’t just happen in labs—it happens when we come together to solve real problems for real people.”

A Movement for Innovation and Collaboration

From its humble beginnings as an internal showcase, Globe DevCon has evolved into a movement that unites over 1,000 participants from Globe’s tech and business communities, partner companies, and top academic institutions. This year’s conference will feature:

  • Solution showcases and tech demos from Globe and its portfolio companies including Asticom, Brave Connective, and Yondu.
  • Fireside chats and learning sessions with experts at the forefront of AI, cloud, and cybersecurity.
  • Recognition of world-class technical talent, highlighting the excellence of Globe engineers on the global stage.

Raising the Bar for World-Class Talent

Among Globe’s standout developers is Neil Daryl Sulit, one of only three Kubestronauts in the Philippines, and the sole one from Globe.

Kubestronauts are professionals who have achieved all of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF)’s Kubernetes certifications—a rare global feat that demonstrates mastery across administration, development, security, and cloud-native foundations.

For Globe, this achievement is more than a milestone—it is proof that the company is nurturing a new generation of Filipino engineers who can architect and secure advanced systems, the same technology backbone powering global leaders like Google, AWS, and Netflix.

Building the Future, Together

Beyond being a showcase of tech, Globe DevCon 2025 is a launchpad for possibility—an open space where developers can experiment, collaborate, and discover solutions that create meaningful impact.

“By giving developers the tools and opportunities to innovate responsibly, Globe continues to evolve as a technology company that builds with purpose,” added Macatangay.

From AI integration and cloud computing to cybersecurity and beyond, Globe DevCon 2025 cements itself as a hub where bold ideas meet real-world impact—shaping a connected future for all.
