Disney+ is bringing back the magic of a generation with the “Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special”, premiering March 24. The celebration marks two decades since the iconic Disney Channel series first captured hearts worldwide.
Filmed in front of a live studio audience, the special features an exclusive, in-depth interview with Miley Cyrus, hosted by Alex Cooper. Fans will get an intimate look at the creation of Hannah Montana and the lasting impact of the show on pop culture. With nostalgia and fresh insights, Cyrus revisits the music, moments, and memories that defined an era, while viewers enjoy never-before-seen archival footage and recreated sets, including the Stewart family living room and Hannah Montana’s legendary closet. Expect some familiar notes to make a joyful return as well.
Since its debut, Hannah Montana has become a global phenomenon, reshaping kids’ television, influencing music and fashion, and launching Miley Cyrus into superstardom. The EmmyⓇ-nominated series produced 14 platinum and 18 gold albums, along with two feature films, cementing its cultural legacy.

The special is produced by HopeTown Entertainment and Unwell Productions, with Ashley Edens as showrunner, and executive producers Miley Cyrus, Tish Cyrus-Purcell, Alex Cooper, and Matt Kaplan. Cooper also hosts, guiding fans through this nostalgic and highly anticipated anniversary celebration.
