Growling Tigers, Golden Tigresses Score a Win for Wellness with Home Credit PH

HCPH strengthens its mission to help Filipinos live better by promoting overall wellness

Home Credit Philippines (HCPH), the country’s leading consumer finance company, continues to deepen its purpose by integrating wellness and financial empowerment into the daily lives of Filipinos.

As part of this advocacy, HCPH has partnered with the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers and Golden Tigresses for UAAP Season 88, providing a platform that champions both sports excellence and smarter financial habits.

The partnership was unveiled during the Future Focus: Building Tomorrow Together event, highlighting HCPH’s mission to reach young Filipinos not only in classrooms but also in arenas where values of discipline, resilience, and responsibility are nurtured.

In another major move, HCPH has teamed up with Cignal TV, the country’s premier sports broadcaster, to strengthen its brand presence across the most-watched sporting events in the Philippines. The collaboration will feature HCPH in UAAP Season 88 Men’s Basketball Conference, UAAP Cheer Dance Competition, and the PVL Reinforced Conference, running from September to December 2025.

Through these initiatives, Home Credit aims to connect with the next generation of Filipinos—many of whom are taking their first steps toward financial independence—while promoting conversations on financial readiness and overall well-being.

Empowering Every Filipino #ParaSaLife

Now celebrating its 12th year in the Philippines, Home Credit has served over 12 million customers and partnered with 18,000 stores nationwide. Building on this success, the company is broadening its purpose from financial literacy to a holistic advocacy that encompasses physical, mental, social, and financial wellness.

“We have always been about enabling Filipinos to do more #ParaSaLife,” said Sheila Paul, Chief Marketing Officer of HCPH. “This year, we’re taking that commitment further by linking financial literacy with overall wellness. A rewarding life doesn’t end at financial security—it’s also about having the health and support system to sustain it. When both come together, people are better equipped to make smarter, more meaningful choices for their future.”

Wellness as a Movement

Earlier this year, HCPH launched its first-ever Takbo #ParaSaLife 2025, which gathered over 2,300 runners—from athletes and families to kids. Originally conceived as a customer appreciation event, the fun run has evolved into a platform that celebrates holistic wellness and community empowerment.

Following its success, HCPH is gearing up for a bigger and bolder Takbo #ParaSaLife 2026, in partnership with premier race organizer RunRio. The two-city event will bring together more than 8,000 runners, with the Manila leg happening on February 1 at the MOA Grounds in Pasay City, and the Cebu leg on March 29 at Citi de Mare in Cebu City.

Wellness Rooted in Financial Confidence

At the heart of Home Credit’s advocacy is the belief that true wellness is sustainable only when paired with financial confidence. By nurturing financial awareness among students, young professionals, and families, HCPH empowers Filipinos to live healthier, more secure, and more fulfilling lives.

“For us, wellness is not just about fitness or finances,” Paul added. “It’s about creating opportunities for every Filipino to live fully, freely, and meaningfully. That’s the true spirit of #ParaSaLife.”
