Step into “The Hidden Side” to supercharge your movement with faster running, higher jumps, and hidden object detection. Plus, the fun doesn’t stop if you get knocked out—eliminated players can hang around as spirits to keep their surviving squad company, for better or worse!

Alongside the new gameplay mechanics, players can explore an interactive haunted manor where completing special event missions unlocks a treasury of free loot, including the highly anticipated Cloaked Terror Bundle.

Once you’ve secured your rewards, you can truly dress for the scare with a brand-new collection of horror-inspired cosmetic outfits. These premium threads are designed to turn heads on the battlefield, featuring highly distinctive visual effects and custom lobby animations.

Free Fire is serving up a massive dose of terror this month with “The Unseen,” a specialized horror event packed with fresh mechanics and eerie surprises. Running from October 16 through October 31, 2026, the limited-time activation allows teams to step into the reality-bending “Hidden Side,” interact with teammates after being eliminated, and brave sudden jumpscares inside a bizarre haunted manor. To sweeten the deal, players can score free cosmetic rewards and collect an array of spooky, theme-appropriate outfits all week long.

Survivors will quickly learn that danger hides in plain sight during standard Battle Royale matches. By tracking down and equipping a special Reveal Mask, players can actively cross over into The Hidden Side. This eerie, twilight dimension transforms the map with darkening skies and unsettling creature silhouettes lingering on the horizon.

Once inside, you can run faster, jump higher, and uncover secret, reality-warping items to score high-tier loot. Additionally, specific weapons will unlock completely new combat mechanics for players to experiment with.

Combat engagement serves as an immediate exit trigger from the sub-dimension. Entering a combat state—either by dealing damage to an opponent or receiving damage from any source—instantly reverts the player back to the primary map layer. This mechanical constraint introduces a critical risk-reward factor regarding when and how survivors choose to scavenge within The Hidden Side.

To keep everyone in on the fun, falling in battle doesn’t mean sitting idly on the sidelines anymore. As long as you have at least one surviving squadmate left standing, eliminated players instantly morph into mischievous, spooky Dolls.

In this spectral form, you can keep right on interacting with your team by slipping into The Hidden Side, bestowing strategic stat buffs onto your living allies, and spamming custom horror-themed emotes. This introduces countless hilarious opportunities to either bail your friends out of a tight spot or actively mess with them until the match ends.

Garena has cross-integrated the Reveal Mask mechanic into the Clash Squad playlist, standardizing access to The Hidden Side across both major game formats. This implementation alters tactical approaches in round-based skirmishes just as it does in open-world survival. Furthermore, the specialized firearm modifiers are globally active across both modes, introducing hidden weapon attributes that squads can systematically test and utilize during active combat.

See what unfolds in the strange manor

Even outside of matches, the scares continue through an interactive, scrollable haunted manor tied to your event progress. Clearing daily missions rewards you with event tokens to level up your in-game “panic level” and unlock new rooms. Exploring these nodes lets you interact with creepy objects to trigger different horror animations and sudden surprises.

The scares come with rewards

The best part of the event is that survivors can score an entire haul of horror-themed rewards completely for free just by clearing standard event missions. The crown jewel of these freebies is the Cloaked Terror Bundle, a sinister unisex outfit that features a pitch-black hood, a creepy masked face, and sharp crimson accents to help you look menacing in every firefight. On top of that, players can also pocket the blood-curdling Axed Escape Jeep vehicle skin and the terrifying Spinning Machete Parang melee skin without spending a single diamond.

Bring the horror into every match

To top it all off, a brand-new cosmetic line inspired by iconic horror archetypes is making its way into the game. Each outfit in this premium collection comes fully equipped with its own distinctive visual auras, custom weapon animations, and unique lobby movements, letting you bring classic movie-monster vibes straight onto the battlefield:

  • The male Hollow Man Bundle cuts a menacing figure in a weathered coat and hat, with a skeletal frame and striking hollow opening through its chest.
  • The female Crimson Glitches Bundle channels a haunting silhouette, with long black hair and shifting visual effects that distort her appearance as she moves.
  • The male Red Slicker Bundle wraps its wearer in deep crimson, with a deep hood and dark tendrils extending from behind.

The terror extends far beyond character skins, as players can also hunt down an incredibly creepy elimination collectible featuring a pair of hand-holding twins. To complete the nightmare aesthetic, the update drops custom-themed Skydive and Arrival animations, letting you make a bone-chilling entrance the very second you drop from the plane.

Free Fire continues to experiment with unique themes year-round, giving squads fresh reasons to log in together. Moving past the cheerful celebrations of recent updates, “The Unseen” injects a playful horror twist into the game. It perfectly mixes a creepy environment and sudden scares with fun, interactive team mechanics so friends can get spooked together.

Gather your squad and uncover what awaits in The Unseen!
