As part of its 7th anniversary celebration, Sunlight Air is expanding its network with a new route to Tablas, Romblon, giving travelers a more convenient way to discover one of the Philippines’ most laid-back island destinations. The new route officially launches on August 11, 2026, with an introductory one-way base fare of P1,899 and flights operating every Tuesday and Saturday.
The new route is a fitting nod to Sunlight Air’s beginnings, when the airline first launched operations with its Manila-to-Busuanga, Coron route. Like the airport in Coron, Tablas’ smaller runways can only accommodate smaller aircraft, making Sunlight Air’s fleet of ATR 72-500 and ATR 72-600 aircraft well-suited for the destination.
Located close to the bustling island of Boracay, Tablas offers a more relaxed alternative for travelers looking to slow down and enjoy a quieter island escape. It is the largest of Romblon’s three main islands—Tablas, Romblon, and Sibuyan—but remains refreshingly untouched by extensive commercialization.
Shop for Locally Made Artisanal Goods
Known as the “Marble Capital of the Philippines,” Romblon is rich in marble deposits and home to generations of skilled artisans.
