In wealth management, meaningful success is built one conversation at a time. It comes from understanding what clients truly need, providing advice shaped around their goals, and building relationships rooted in trust, insight, and long-term stewardship.

For EastWest Priority, the wealth management segment of EastWest, this client-first philosophy continues to earn recognition from regional and global award-giving bodies. The distinctions underscore its efforts to make priority banking more personal, insight-led, and accessible to today’s affluent Filipinos.

EastWest Priority has received consecutive honors for its client experience and banking proposition. It was named Outstanding Client Experience in Wealth Management at the Global Private Banking Innovation Awards in both 2025 and 2026. It was also recognized as Best Priority Banking Experience at the International Finance Magazine Awards for three consecutive years from 2023 to 2025, and as Best Private Bank by Global Finance in 2024 and 2025. Most recently, EastWest Priority was named Best Private Bank – Domestic at the FinanceAsia Awards 2026.

Behind these recognitions is EastWest Priority’s belief that wealth management should begin with understanding where clients are in life, what matters most to them, and what they hope to build for the future.

“Filipino wealth clients today want a banking partner who understands their goals, their responsibilities, and the decisions they need to make across different life stages,” said Rafael S. Algarra Jr., SEVP and Head of Financial Markets and Wealth Management. “For us, these distinctions speak to the trust our clients place in EastWest Priority and challenge us to keep making their banking experience more personal, relevant, and meaningful.”

A More Personal Approach to Priority Banking

EastWest Priority recently introduced an enhanced Priority Banking experience designed to give high-net-worth clients greater ease, insight, and access.

The proposition brings together hyper-personalized investment and wealth solutions, dedicated Relationship Managers, regular market updates, economic briefings, thought leadership sessions, and an expanding nationwide network of Priority Banking branches.

Its lifestyle and global access proposition also includes longstanding benefits through Visa, including competitive foreign exchange fees, travel insurance coverage, Priority Pass airport lounge access, local and international ATM access, rewards, welcome gifts, and a 24/7 digital personal lifestyle assistant.

The goal is to provide clients with an experience that goes beyond traditional banking—combining financial guidance with services and privileges designed around the way affluent Filipinos live, work, travel, and plan for the future.

Building Better Wealth Conversations

To further strengthen the quality of its client advisory, EastWest partnered with Singapore Management University Executive Development for a five-month Wealth Management Programme, completed by more than 80 EastWestbankers from the Bank and its affiliates.

The program covered market and product mastery, portfolio construction, suitability, duty of care, stewardship, and high-stakes client conversations. More importantly, it was designed to help EastWestbankers move beyond product-led discussions and develop deeper, trusted advisory relationships with clients.

“Our aspiration is to develop Relationship Managers who can become the client’s trusted advisor across financial needs and life stages,” said Richard Chester Tamayo, SVP and Head of Wealth Management. “That means being able to address not just investments, but broader aspirations such as liquidity, protection, income, growth, retirement, education, business needs, succession, estate planning, and wealth transfer.”

This broader perspective reflects how wealth management is increasingly evolving. For clients, financial decisions rarely exist in isolation. Investments, family responsibilities, business goals, retirement plans, protection, and succession are often interconnected—and require advice that considers the bigger picture.

Making Wealth Management More Accessible

While many premier banking programs in the market typically require Php3 million to Php5 million in assets under management, EastWest Priority offers an entry point of Php2.5 million.

This lower threshold provides more rising professionals, entrepreneurs, and families with access to relationship-managed banking and tailored wealth solutions as they build and grow their financial portfolios.

EastWest Priority also combines personalized advisory with digital convenience through an integrated phygital service experience. Clients are supported by dedicated Relationship Managers and 13 Priority Centers located in key cities nationwide, while digital platforms allow them to manage their banking and wealth needs with greater convenience.

Together, these services provide clients with access to informed guidance, convenient banking, lifestyle privileges, and wealth solutions designed to respond to increasingly complex financial needs.

For EastWest Priority, every award and distinction ultimately reflects the everyday work behind meaningful client relationships: listening closely, providing relevant guidance, and helping clients navigate important financial decisions with greater confidence and clarity.

As wealth management continues to evolve, EastWest Priority remains focused on making the experience more personal—not simply by managing wealth, but by understanding the people, priorities, and ambitions behind it.
