ABS-CBN is set to uncover the next big OPM sensation with its first-ever music docu-reality series on YouTube, “The Next Big Band,” premiering Thursday, February 19 on the ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube channel, Southeast Asia’s most-subscribed media platform with 54.6 million subscribers.
The series follows aspiring musicians as they reveal their passion, talent, and personal stories, competing for the opportunity to become ABS-CBN’s first-ever band built from scratch.
Star Music artist Gello Marquez joins the pool of hopefuls, showcasing his musical talent and inspiring journey as he vies for a spot in this groundbreaking new band.
Guiding the participants is a panel of esteemed judges, led by ABS-CBN Music’s head of creatives, content, and operations, Jonathan Manalo. Other judges include label heads Rox Santos (Star Pop), Marey Garcia (Tarsier Records), Gab Tagadtad (DNA Music), and Rey Cantong, musical director of Six Part Invention, bringing a wealth of expertise to the competition.
Produced by ABS-CBN Studios and ABS-CBN Music, “The Next Big Band” continues the network’s growing lineup of YouTube originals, following hits like “Kuan On One,” “Sparks Camp,” and “Zoomers.”
Viewers can follow the journey of these aspiring musicians starting February 19 at 7 PM, with new episodes dropping weekly on the ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube channel.
