Today’s Announcement and Sizzle Offer Audiences A Fresh Look At Newly Revealed Titles And Anticipated Series Premiering On Disney+ Throughout 2026

After a binge-dominated 2025 that saw global audiences hooked on hit after hit—Nine Puzzles, Hyper Knife, Tempest, Made In Korea, and more—Disney+ is raising the bar in 2026. The platform is rolling out a broader, more ambitious Korean slate packed with pulse-pounding action, gripping human drama, swoon-worthy romance, reality competition, and highly anticipated webtoon adaptations.
From returning fan favorites to bold new originals, 2026 is shaping up to be Disney+’s most expansive year for Korean storytelling yet.
Action Returns, Fate Is Tested

One of 2024’s most critically acclaimed series—named by The New York Times as one of the year’s Best TV Shows—A Shop For Killers returns with Season 2.

Lee Dongwook and Kim Hyejun reprise their roles as Jian and her uncle Jinman, who now turn the tables on their enemies and take the fight directly to the mercenary group Babylon. Joining the cast are Hyunri (Tokyo Vice Season 2), Masaki Okada (Drive My Car), and Jung Yoonha (Big Bet), promising even higher stakes and cinematic-scale action when the series drops later this year.
Meanwhile, the first half of 2026 introduces a genre-bending reality competition: Battle of Fates. From the creator of Culinary Class Wars, this unprecedented series gathers 49 of Korea’s most respected fate readers—masters of shamanism, saju, tarot, physiognomy, and more—for a showdown to determine who truly holds the gift. Strategy, belief, and intuition collide in a battle where only one will emerge victorious.
Greed, Power, and High-Stakes Drama
Desire takes center stage in Gold Land, marking Park Boyoung’s highly anticipated return to Disney+.

She plays Heeju, a woman who escapes her small hometown only to stumble upon a coffin filled with gold—an unexpected discovery that awakens ambition, greed, and danger. As her dream life inches closer, so does the threat that forces her to confront the very place she once fled. Also starring Kim Sungcheol and Lee Hyunwook, the series blends suspense and psychological drama under the direction of Confidential Assignment’s Kim Sunghoon.

Later in the year, Made In Korea Season 2 reunites Hyun Bin and Jung Woosung for another explosive chapter. After a first season defined by corruption and power struggles between KCIA heavyweight Baek Kitae and relentless prosecutor Jang Geonyoung, the balance of power has shifted. But in a world driven by ambition, no defeat is ever final.
Romance in Full Bloom
Love stories take center stage throughout the year.

February brings In Your Radiant Season, a tender romance between opposites: a charismatic character designer (Chae Jonghyeop) and a guarded luxury fashion designer (Lee Sungkyung). Written by Thirty But Seventeen’s Cho Sunghee, the series explores healing, vulnerability, and unexpected connection.

In April, IU and Byeon Wooseok headline Perfect Crown, one of 2026’s most anticipated dramas. Set in an alternate modern-day Korea ruled by a constitutional monarchy, the story follows a prince and a conglomerate heiress who begin as strategic allies—but discover that love isn’t part of any master plan.

Adding a darker twist to romance is The Husband (working title), a romantic thriller starring Namkoong Min as a neurosurgeon forced into a brutal confrontation to rescue his kidnapped wife, played by Lee Sul. Directed by Hyper Knife’s Kim Junghyun, the series blends emotional intensity with high-stakes suspense.
Webtoon Worlds Come Alive
Building on the global success of adaptations like Moving, Light Shop, and Vigilante, Disney+ expands its webtoon universe with two major titles in 2026.
The Remarried Empress transports viewers to a world of royal intrigue. Shin Mina stars as Navier, an empress blindsided when her husband demands a divorce to wed his mistress. Rather than crumble, she counters with a bold move: marrying a rival prince, igniting a saga of romance, revenge, and reclaimed power. Ju Jihoon, Lee Jongsuk, and Lee Seyoung round out the powerhouse cast.

Later in the year comes Portraits of Delusion, a romantic mystery adapted from the hit Naver Webtoon Delusion. Suzy plays Jeonghwa, a grieving vampire who has hidden from the world for decades, commissioning portraits to preserve her existence. When a troubled painter (Kim Seonho) enters her life, secrets unravel in a haunting tale of love and longing. Directed by Han Jaerim, the series premieres exclusively on Disney+ in late 2026.

From action and intrigue to romance and fantasy, 2026 promises stories that will thrill, move, and captivate audiences worldwide—only on Disney+.
