The song completes the ‘Mahiwaga trilogy,’ which includes hit songs “Pagtingin” and “Araw-Araw”
Ben&Ben reaffirmed their stature as one of OPM’s most influential forces in 2025, marking a year defined by milestones, accolades, and cultural resonance.

The nine-piece collective became the first Filipino act to surpass three billion streams on Spotify globally—a landmark achievement that underscores their far-reaching impact. They also dominated the 28th Awit Awards, securing Album of the Year for their third studio release, The Traveller Across Dimensions, and Best Performance by a Group Recording Artist for the anthemic “Triumph.”
Beyond commercial and critical success, the band’s music intersected with the nation’s pulse. “Kapangyarihan,” their powerful collaboration with SB19, evolved into a rallying cry in protest spaces, amplifying public sentiment amid controversies surrounding alleged corruption in flood control and infrastructure projects. It was a testament to Ben&Ben’s enduring ability to articulate both personal and collective truths.
As they turn the page to a new year, however, the band shifts toward something more intimate—yet equally profound.
Ben&Ben usher in the next chapter with “Duyan,” now available worldwide on all digital platforms via Sony Music Entertainment. Written and composed by frontman Miguel Benjamin and produced alongside longtime collaborator Ziv, the rousing pop-rock ballad captures a love that transcends distance, time, and adversity.
At its heart, “Duyan” is about devotion—deep affection, unwavering loyalty, and the conscious decision to stay committed despite life’s inevitable challenges.
Miguel reveals that the song was born in a deeply personal moment: three days before his wedding, while sitting alone in his car.
“There are songs where artists write themselves in the music, and this is one of them,” Miguel shares. “That day, the idea of fully offering oneself to another person stayed with me. It’s a love inspired by lifelong commitment, shared journeys, and selflessness. More than anything, I realized that I was ready to make the promise before God. I felt it in the deepest part of my heart.”
Musically, Ben&Ben worked closely with Ziv to preserve the emotional core of the composition while expanding its sonic scale. The band leaned into the full breadth of their instrumentation, crafting a soaring arrangement that mirrors the song’s depth and expansiveness.
“Duyan” completes the Mahiwaga Trilogy, Ben&Ben’s thematic exploration of romantic relationships. The journey began with “Pagtingin,” a groove-driven meditation on the first spark of attraction, and continued with “Araw-Araw,” a tender folk-pop ode to choosing love daily. With “Duyan,” the trilogy culminates in a declaration of permanence—love not as fleeting emotion, but as a sacred promise.
“Two years after I wrote ‘Duyan’ and kept it as a very personal part of my life, it made sense for it to be put out there,” Miguel reflects. “It also made sense for it to be the conclusion of the trilogy of songs and videos.”
A Full-Circle Visual Story
Accompanying the single is a wedding-themed music video starring real-life couple Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos, who previously headlined the visuals for “Pagtingin” and “Araw-Araw.”

For Khalil, returning to the project felt serendipitous.
“Thematically, it’s beautiful to see how the story progressed since ‘Pagtingin,’” he shares. “Gab and I grew alongside these songs. At every stage of the trilogy, we could deeply relate to it because it reflected the different phases of our own relationship.”
Miguel echoes the sentiment, noting how both actors have become integral to the band’s visual narrative. “It was so good to work with our longtime friends Gabbi and Khalil once more. We’ve all grown so much—in life and in our careers—since the last project we did together. It was meaningful to catch up, tell stories, and create new memories.”
Directed by Daniel Aguilar of Lunchbox Studios, the music video concludes the trilogy through a tapestry of wedding imagery, magical realism, and introspective storytelling. The band describes it as an intimate yet expansive portrayal of commitment—where everyday moments are imbued with quiet wonder.
With “Duyan,” Ben&Ben begin the year not with spectacle, but with sincerity. After a year of historic milestones and national impact, they return to what has always defined their artistry: storytelling that speaks to the heart—personal, enduring, and timeless.
“Duyan” is now streaming on all major platforms worldwide. The official music video will be available on Ben&Ben’s YouTube channel.
