BYD Cars Philippines and ACMobility are joining forces to supercharge Cebu’s transition to electric mobility. The BYD Tech Tour recently rolled into SM Seaside City Cebu, bringing hands-on experiences with the brand’s latest electric vehicles (EVs), while ACMobility activated 16 new EV charging stations (EVCS) across the island province. Together, these developments mark a major step in expanding EV accessibility in Cebu and the greater Visayas region.
With BYD introducing cutting-edge electric models and ACMobility rapidly expanding infrastructure, both brands are working toward a shared vision: making electric mobility practical, sustainable, and within reach for all Filipinos.

Cebu Leads the Charge: BYD’s Growing Presence
To spark greater public interest in EVs, BYD’s immersive Tech Tour took over SM Seaside City Cebu from April 25 to 27. Visitors explored BYD’s innovative technologies, test-drove EV models, and received exclusive offers—up to ₱10,000 in discounts and savings.
BYD also cemented its commitment to the Visayas with the opening of its first regional dealership, BYD Cebu North, under Global Star Motors. This full-service dealership was soon followed by showrooms at Ayala Center Cebu and IL Corso. Plans are now underway for three more branches—Cebu Central, Cebu Toledo, and Cebu South, broadening BYD’s reach and making world-class EV experiences more accessible for Cebuanos.

ACMobility Expands Charging Network Across Visayas
As BYD strengthens its dealership network, ACMobility is laying the foundation for Cebu’s EV ecosystem with a robust rollout of charging stations. Under its Charge Forward initiative and the Philippine EV Spine program, ACMobility aims to energize over 35 locations in the Visayas by the end of 2025.
New charging stations are already operational at Ayala Center Cebu, IL Corso, and even far-flung areas like Bantayan and Camotes Islands, ensuring EV drivers have consistent access to power whether in the city or exploring remote destinations.
“ACMobility’s Philippine EV Spine initiative is pivotal in shaping the future of electric mobility across the country,” added Buencamino. “We’re building a national backbone of charging stations to support confident and convenient EV use.”
ACMobility continues to grow its network through partnerships with Ayala Malls, Global Star, Continuum Mobility Solutions, Prince Stores, City Time Square, and Club Filipino Cebu—ensuring access in both urban hubs and previously underserved areas. More partners and locations are in the pipeline.
Reliable, Affordable Charging Through the Evro App
To provide dependable 24/7 charging, ACMobility has introduced a pay-per-use model via the Evro app, ensuring upkeep and service consistency. Current rates in the Visayas begin at ₱33.5/kWh for AC and ₱38/kWh for DC, aligned with regional energy costs.
For added convenience, ACMobility offers flexible subscription plans from ₱1,200 to ₱4,000, as well as a Charge500 prepaid plan for users seeking one-time discounted access. Each plan comes with 30-day charging credits and up to 20% in savings, making EV ownership more affordable and efficient.
