Canon Marketing (Philippines), Inc. has officially launched its 2025 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program with a meaningful start—a coastal cleanup drive at Baseco Beach in Tondo, Manila. This impactful initiative was done in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST).

The cleanup brought together around 50 passionate Canon employee volunteers, united by a shared mission to protect the environment and promote sustainable practices. Together, they collected plastic waste and various debris along the shoreline, contributing to the ongoing restoration of the area’s fragile coastal ecosystem and helping raise awareness about marine conservation and proper waste management.

“This coastal cleanup reflects our collective responsibility to protect the environment and make a meaningful difference through purposeful action,” said Anuj Aggarwal, President and CEO of Canon Marketing (Philippines), Inc. “At Canon, we believe that building a better future begins with the steps we take today. This initiative marks just the beginning of our CSR journey for 2025. With the dedication of our employees and the support of our partners at ASSIST, we aim to inspire more individuals and organizations to embrace environmental stewardship.”

More than just a cleanup, the activity also served as a venue for environmental education. Experts from DENR and ASSIST led on-site learning sessions, providing guidance on proper waste segregation, recycling best practices, and the pressing environmental challenges faced by coastal communities across the country.

As Canon Philippines continues to roll out its 2025 CSR roadmap, the company reinforces its commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and creating a positive impact that extends far beyond imaging.
