BLACKPINK’s ‘Born Pink’ marks the end of 2022  as  the longest-charting K-Pop girl group album on the ‘Billboard 200’ in 2022.

According to Billboard’s most recent chart updates, BLACKPINK’s second full-length album ‘Born Pink’ is at No. 160 on this week’s chart rankings for the US main album chart, Billboard 200, spending its 9th week on the chart.

Born Pink is the second studio album by South Korean girl group Blackpink, released on September 16, 2022, through YG Entertainment and Interscope Records. The most awaited comeback of the legendary Kpop idols broke records and gathered awards.

As a result, BLACKPINK broke the record for the most weeks spent charting inside the Billboard 200 by a K-Pop female act in 2022; the previous record was set by TWICE’s ‘Between 1&2,’ which spent a total of 8 weeks in the chart. Furthermore, the album is now the second-longest-running album by a female K-Pop artist in Billboard history, trailing only their own ‘THE ALBUM.’

Furthermore, the title track from the album, “Shut Down,” is No. 29 on this week’s Billboard Global Excl. The song peaked at No. 59 on the Billboard Global 200. The pre-release single “Pink Venom” is currently No. 79 on the Billboard Global 200 this week.
