AirAsia PH Drops Bag Limits Check In as Many Luggage Items as You Want_1

As more travelers head home with extra pasalubong, souvenirs, shopping finds, and vacation essentials, AirAsia Philippines is reminding guests that they can check in as many bags as needed—as long as the total weight stays within their purchased or complimentary checked baggage allowance.

Designed to provide greater flexibility for every type of traveler, AirAsia allows guests to purchase checked baggage allowances ranging from 20kg to 60kg, making it easier to pack for everything from quick weekend getaways to extended holidays.

While there is no limit to the number of checked bags, guests should note that each individual bag must not exceed 32kg for safety reasons, regardless of the total baggage allowance purchased.

For guests who have purchased more than 30kg of checked baggage allowance, each checked bag must also comply with AirAsia’s baggage requirements.

Mobility Aids Checked In Free of Charge

To ensure a more convenient travel experience, AirAsia Philippines allows several essential mobility items to be checked in at no additional cost, including:

  • Baby strollers, buggies, and prams
  • Wheelchairs and mobility devices
  • Crutches and walking frames

These complimentary allowances help make travel more accessible and comfortable for families, senior citizens, and passengers requiring mobility assistance.

Save More by Pre-Booking Checked Baggage

Travelers are encouraged to purchase their checked baggage allowance before arriving at the airport to enjoy significant savings.

Guests who pre-book their baggage can save up to ₱919 compared to airport baggage rates.

Checked baggage may be purchased conveniently through the AirAsia MOVE app, the AirAsia website, or by chatting with Ask Bo, AirAsia’s virtual assistant.

Need More Baggage After Booking? No Problem

Guests who decide they need additional baggage after completing their booking can still purchase or upgrade their baggage allowance through the Manage My Booking feature or via Ask Bo, up to two hours before their scheduled departure.

Additional baggage may also be purchased at the airport check-in counter, subject to applicable airport baggage charges.

How to Purchase Additional Baggage via Ask Bo

Upgrading your baggage allowance is simple:

  1. Open the AirAsia MOVE app or visit the AirAsia website and chat with Ask Bo.
  2. Type “Purchase Add-ons (Seats, Baggage, Meals).”
  3. Select “Baggage” and follow the on-screen instructions to complete your purchase.

Know Your Cabin Baggage Allowance

AirAsia guests are entitled to bring two carry-on items onboard:

  • One cabin bag
  • One personal item, such as a handbag or laptop bag

The combined weight of both items must not exceed 7kg.

For travelers who need extra cabin space, Xtra Carry-On is available when pre-booked, increasing the cabin baggage allowance to 14kg for added convenience.

Bring Home More of What Matters

Whether it’s bringing home thoughtful gifts, shopping bargains, or treasured vacation memories, AirAsia Philippines continues to offer flexible baggage options that make every journey more convenient.

With generous baggage allowances, multiple pre-booking options, and the freedom to check in as many bags as needed within the purchased weight limit, guests can travel with greater confidence—and return home with more of what matters most.
