A group of graduate students from Columbia Business School traveled from New York to Manila as part of their course, “Global Immersion: Philippines – Asia’s Rising Tiger.” Their visit included an exclusive tour of ABS-CBN, where they gained firsthand insights into the company’s transformation from a leading broadcasting network into a global storytelling powerhouse.

Led by Professor Medini Singh, the students engaged in dynamic discussions with ABS-CBN’s key executives, including Mark Nepomuceno (Head of Transformation and Innovation), Francis Toral (Head of Integrated News and Current Affairs), and Kane Errol Choa (Head of Corporate Communications). These discussions centered on the company’s evolution and resilience following its shutdown, highlighting innovation, adaptation, and strategic reinvention in the media industry.

Following the learning sessions, the students explored ABS-CBN’s headquarters, immersing themselves in its vibrant production environment. They had the unique opportunity to be part of the live audience of “It’s Showtime” and visit the “TV Patrol” studio, gaining behind-the-scenes insights into the world of television production.
