Public relations and public affairs consultancy firm ALPAS made a remarkable debut at the 21st Philippine Quill Awards, the country’s most prestigious recognition in business communication, held last August 27 at The Manila Hotel. The agency brought home five awards, including an Excellence Award and a coveted Top Division Award.

Organized by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines, the Philippine Quill Awards celebrate programs that merge creativity, strategy, and measurable results to create lasting impact.

Championing Truth and Education
ALPAS clinched a Top Division Award and an Excellence Award under the Communication Training and Education Division for its CSR-driven initiative, “The Struggle Is Real: Crisis Communications Training.” This program was launched in response to the rising tide of misinformation and disinformation in the country, empowering public servants and youth leaders to think critically, combat false narratives, and champion truth in their communities.

Driving Awareness Through Storytelling
The agency also received a Merit Award for its TALAKAYAN Series under the Corporate Writing category, which made political discourse more accessible ahead of the 2025 midterm elections. By breaking down complex political narratives, the campaign helped bridge the gap between government communication and public understanding.

In the Audio/Visual category, ALPAS earned another Merit Award for the “Health Connect Forum” created with Sanofi Vaccines Philippines and partner organizations including PHAP, PMA, and PFV. The project tackled misinformation on immunization and amplified the importance of vaccines in saving lives.

Another Merit Award came under the Social Media Programs category for “Batang Bakunado, Todong Protektado!” — a digital-led pediatric vaccination campaign for the Department of Health (DOH) in partnership with USAID and the Johns Hopkins Center for Communications Programs. The initiative provided parents with reliable, easy-to-digest information, countered myths about COVID-19 vaccines, and emphasized children’s protection as key to community health.

A Milestone for Purpose-Driven PR
“To be recognized on our first entry at the Philippine Quill Awards is incredibly meaningful to us,” shared Marzie Marzan, ALPAS Co-founder and CEO. “These awards reflect the outcomes we’ve achieved to move society and the nation forward. This is only the beginning—we look forward to telling more meaningful stories that matter.”

Echoing this sentiment, Atty. Carlo Escalada, Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of ALPAS, said: “Our philosophy has always been to create work that uplifts Filipinos and supports the country’s development. These wins validate our approach and highlight the strength of a team committed to building a better Philippines.”

Raising the Bar Beyond Borders
The Philippine Quill triumphs come on the heels of ALPAS’ recent victories at the Golden Standard Awards in Singapore, where it secured two wins for Public Service Campaign and NGO Engagement. These back-to-back recognitions cement ALPAS’ reputation as a trailblazer in strategic communications, setting new benchmarks for the PR industry in the Philippines and beyond.
