Clear skies at 7:00 in the morning, followed by wet and windy conditions by 5:00 in the afternoon. The rainy season does not wait for anyone’s schedule. For professionals who have turned to motorcycle taxis to stay on track, the journey from home to their destination often determines how they show up for the rest of the day.
To help bridge that gap, MOVE IT has launched Ride-Ready, a line of practical commuter essentials designed to help riders stay comfortable and prepared despite unpredictable weather. Available exclusively on GrabMart, the collection includes a packable rain jacket, a scarf or cap that can double as a helmet liner, and a refresh kit containing travel-size alcohol spray, cooling wipes, and tissue.
The launch comes as motorcycle taxis continue to play an increasingly important role in the daily commute. MOVE IT recorded a 20% increase in monthly users during the first half of the year compared with the same period last year, while commuter feedback revealed persistent concerns that can make booking a motorcycle-taxi ride less appealing—including sudden downpours, intense heat, and questions surrounding shared helmet conditions.
“Filipino commuters have become extraordinarily good at adapting to city life. What they should not have to accept is arriving at a meeting soaked, or starting the afternoon already behind,” said MOVE IT General Manager Wayne Jacinto. “Ride-Ready is a practical answer to that. We want our passengers to step off the ride the same way they left the house.”
MOVE IT also brought the Ride-Ready experience directly to the commercial districts where many of its passengers work. From June to July, interactive booths were set up at select office buildings in Makati, Bonifacio Global City, Ortigas, and Cebu City. Commuters were able to claim Ride-Ready items on-site while also booking their next MOVE IT trip directly from the booths.
With the rainy season and worsening traffic continuing to pose challenges for commuters, MOVE IT’s Ride-Ready essentials aim to make everyday journeys more convenient and comfortable. By equipping passengers with practical tools for unpredictable conditions, MOVE IT helps commuters keep moving—so they can step off their ride feeling fresh, confident, and ready to take on the day.
The Ride-Ready collection is available on GrabMart starting July 13, with prices beginning at ₱275. Special bundles are also available, allowing commuters to mix and match essentials while enjoying additional savings.
