Since opening for bookings, Hotel101-Madrid has recorded more than 45,000 hotel night bookings, generating €5.44 million (approximately ₱387 million) in revenue—an early indicator of strong demand and sustained growth potential in the European market.

Beginning March 2026, Hotel101 Global has started to unlock recurring revenue streams from operations at its newly launched 680-room property in Madrid, Spain. This momentum is set to expand further with the upcoming opening of the 482-room Hotel101-Niseko in Hokkaido, Japan, scheduled for December 2026, which will introduce additional revenue generation in Japanese yen.

Marking a milestone year, 2026 is poised to deliver the largest expansion in the group’s history, with a total of 2,229 new rooms coming online. This includes 680 rooms in Madrid, followed by 519 rooms in Davao, 548 rooms in Cebu, and 482 rooms in Niseko.

With this accelerated rollout, DoubleDragon is positioned to significantly scale its recurring income streams—driven by a diversified portfolio spanning provincial community malls, industrial warehouse leasing, office spaces, and an expanding hospitality footprint both in the Philippines and internationally.

DoubleDragon Corporation, through its subsidiary Hotel101 Global, Inc., has reported a strong market debut for its first international property, Hotel101-Madrid, signaling a promising start to its global expansion strategy.

Since opening in March 2026, the 680-room Hotel101 Madrid has generated over 45,000 hotel-night bookings, translating to approximately €5.44 million (₱387 million) in revenue. The property has also achieved a notably high occupancy rate, underscoring robust demand and positioning it as a key revenue driver in the European market.

A strategic foothold in Europe

Hotel101-Madrid represents a significant milestone for the group, marking its first operational property outside the Philippines. The hotel’s strong early performance reflects both market demand and its strategic location in Valdebebas, a rapidly developing district in Madrid.

Further boosting its profile, the property has been named the Official Hotel Partner of the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix from 2026 to 2035 through an exclusive partnership with MATCH Hospitality Europe. Situated beside the upcoming race circuit and overlooking the “Valdebebas Curve,” the hotel is positioned to capture consistent international traffic tied to major global events.

Its accessibility further enhances its appeal—just minutes away from Valdebebas Train Station, IFEMA convention center, the Real Madrid Sports Complex, and Madrid-Barajas International Airport.

Designed for modern travelers

Hotel101-Madrid delivers a full-service experience anchored in convenience and technology. The property features an all-day dining restaurant, HBNB Kitchen by La Sucursal, swimming pools, a fitness center, business facilities, and family-friendly amenities.

A proprietary digital platform enhances the guest journey, offering seamless services such as mobile check-in and digital key access—aligning with the brand’s standardized, tech-enabled hospitality model.

Scaling recurring revenue globally

With Madrid now operational, Hotel101 Global has begun generating recurring revenues from its international portfolio. This momentum is expected to accelerate with the upcoming launch of Hotel101 Niseko, a 482-room property in Hokkaido, Japan, scheduled to open in December 2026. The project will mark the group’s formal entry into the Japanese market and introduce revenue streams in Japanese yen.

Back home, the brand continues to deliver strong performance, with Hotel101 Manila and Hotel101 Fort maintaining consistently high occupancy levels.

A record year for expansion

The year 2026 is shaping up to be DoubleDragon’s most aggressive expansion phase to date, with a total of 2,229 new hotel rooms slated to become operational. This includes:

  • 680 rooms in Madrid (now operational)
  • 519 rooms in Davao
  • 548 rooms in Cebu
  • 482 rooms in Niseko, Japan

This expansion is expected to significantly boost recurring revenues across the group’s diversified portfolio, which spans community malls, industrial warehouses, office spaces, and hospitality assets both locally and overseas.

Building a globally competitive Filipino brand

As it continues to scale, DoubleDragon is actively leveraging capital markets in both the Philippines and the United States to strengthen its balance sheet, targeting a ₱500 billion equity base.

Central to this vision is the growth of Hotel101 as an asset-light, globally exportable hospitality model—positioning it as a homegrown Filipino brand capable of generating substantial US dollar inflows while competing on the international stage.

With strong early traction in Madrid and an expanding global footprint, Hotel101 Global is laying the groundwork for sustained growth—bringing Filipino hospitality innovation to key markets around the world.
